The moment Taehyung's fingers brushed against the folded chit, he felt it.

Another hand.

He paused.

Slowly, he opened his eyes and turned.

A girl stood beside him, her fingers resting on the same piece of paper. For a brief second, neither of them moved. The moment stretched, quiet and uncertain, until she looked up at him. And smiled.

It was soft. Effortless.

The kind of smile that didn't ask for attention, yet held it anyway.

Without realizing it, Taehyung smiled back.

"You can take it," he said, pulling his hand away slightly. "I'll pick another one."

The girl tilted her head, her smile lingering as if she had already decided something he hadn't.

"We both picked the same chit..." she said lightly. "Maybe because we share the same future."

A quiet breath left him, almost amused.

"I don't believe in all this," he replied, shaking his head faintly. "You can have it. I'll choose another one."

He reached forward again, but her voice stopped him.

"You don't believe in this," she said calmly, "yet you're here."

Taehyung paused.

For a moment, he didn't have an answer.

"Look, I—"

"I didn't ask for an explanation," she cut in gently, her tone still light but firm. "It's your choice to be here. I'm just saying...maybe we should open it together."

There was something about her, something strangely convincing.

He hesitated, then sighed quietly.

"...Fine."

She carefully unfolded the chit and both of them leaned in slightly. Their eyes landed on the same line.

Today you will meet your destiny.

Taehyung blinked.

Of all things...this?

A small scoff almost escaped him but before he could react, she looked at him again. Eyes brighter now, filled with a quiet excitement.

"See?" she said, smiling wider. "Even this says it. Maybe you are my destiny...and I am yours."

A soft laugh slipped out of him.

Not mocking, just disbelief.

"I don't believe that," he replied. "We picked the same chit at the same time. That's all. It's coincidence."

"Maybe for you," she said softly. "But I believe in destiny. And if it wants...we'll meet again."

Taehyung didn't respond.

Something about her words lingered. Longer than they should have.

But before he could say anything—

"Bro! What's happening here?"

Jungkook's voice cut through the moment as he appeared beside him.

Taehyung straightened immediately.

"Nothing," he said quickly. "Let's go."

He turned to leave but her voice stopped him once more.

"What's your name?"
