Jungkook grabbed Taehyung's collar again, his grip tight, almost suffocating.
"How dare you, V?" he shouted, his voice echoing around them. "How can you kiss Jisoo? Are you playing with her feelings or what?!"
Silence followed. Heavy and suffocating.
Taehyung could feel every pair of eyes on him, but one gaze pierced deeper than the rest.
Jisoo.
He didn't need to look at her to know, she was breaking.
Jungkook continued, his voice shaking now, "I thought you'd handle this properly but what are you even doing?"
Jimin frowned, confused. "What are you trying to say?"
Hoseok added carefully, "They're married, they have the right to—"
"Only if he considers her as his wife." Jungkook cut him off sharply.
That one sentence changed everything.
The air shifted.
Yoongi's expression darkened. "What do you mean?"
Jungkook's eyes didn't leave Taehyung. "You want to explain, Kim Taehyung?"
His throat went dry.
This was it.
There was no running anymore.
No hiding. No pretending.
Slowly, he lifted his head and looked at her.
Jisoo.
Her eyes were already on him. Wide, trembling, silently begging.
Begging him to deny it. To say it wasn't true. And for a second...just one single second...he wanted to.
But he didn't.
"I came to Korea..." his voice came out hoarse, "...to divorce you, Jisoo."
The world fell silent.
No one moved. No one spoke.
But he saw it.
The exact moment her heart broke.
She didn't cry. Not yet.
Her lips parted slightly, as if waiting for him to take it back. But he didn't.
"There's...someone else in my life," he continued, forcing each word out like a punishment. "She loves me. And I...I came here to end this marriage for her."
A punch landed across his face right after he finished speaking.
This time, it was Yoongi.
"You bastard!" he roared, grabbing him again, ready to strike but Jimin and Hoseok held him back.
He stumbled, barely managing to stand.
"I'm sorry, Jisoo..." he said quietly, despite the throbbing pain on his jaw. "I shouldn't have given you any hope. I crossed a line I shouldn't have."
Her voice stopped him.
"But you're not sorry for breaking my heart?"
He froze.
Slowly, he looked up.
She wasn't crying. That hurt more.
"You're not sorry for ruining me?" she continued, her voice steady but hollow. "You're not sorry for what you did to me?"
Each word hit harder than any punch. He felt something sharp gnawing his heart.
"You know what, Kim Taehyung?" she whispered, a bitter smile forming. "I'm the one who should be sorry."
