Hey, Readers!
A few of you have been asking why the chapters are so short, so I thought I'd explain.I actually wrote this book about 5–6 years ago. Back then, the formatting, POV, and overall writing style were very different from now. As I've grown as a writer, my style has changed, and compared to my current work, these chapters are naturally shorter.
Because the chapters are shorter, I'm posting at least 5 chapters a week, so you'll get updates more often and won't have to wait too long for the story to progress.Thank you for reading and supporting. I truly appreciate every comment, vote, and bit of encouragement. I hope you continue to enjoy the story!
Happy reading!
Jisoo's happiness vanished in an instant.
He hadn't even listened to her; he had simply gone to his room, leaving her standing there. Tears welled up and fell freely. She couldn't hold them back anymore.
He hadn't even asked how she had been all these years. But maybe...maybe he just needed time. He didn't know anything about her and perhaps that was why he seemed so uncomfortable.
She wiped her tears, forcing herself to regain composure. She instructed the maids to serve his dinner and made her way to the guest room. Before entering, she knocked softly.
"Taehyung," she said, her voice trembling slightly, "your room is ready. You can stay there and I'll be in another room, so don't worry. I've asked the maids to serve your dinner in your room."
She left before he could respond, her heart aching with a mix of hope and sorrow. He ate silently, and she was left alone with her thoughts, feeling the weight of years lost.

Jungkook's call woke Taehyung early.
"Yeah, Jungkook?" he answered groggily.
"Bro, did you call Jennie?"
"No...I forgot," he admitted.
"Please call her, man. Otherwise, she'll keep calling me."
"Okay, okay," he mumbled, still half-asleep.

Night had fallen, and Jungkook found himself wandering, thinking about V and how he had just left him behind. The streets were quiet until he saw a familiar figure.
Lisa.
She was crying.
"Hey Lisa! Wha—wait, are you crying?" he asked softly.
She wiped her tears and tried to smile. "No...I was just—"
"What happened?"
"My boyfriend...broke up with me."
She explained everything and guilt gnawed at him. It had been his dare that started this.
"Lisa, I'm sorry. This happened because of me."
"No...it's not your fault. He never loved me anyway."
He frowned. "Then why cry for someone who never truly cared about you?"
She looked at him, confused. He continued, his voice gentle.
"Lisa...your tears are precious. Don't waste them on someone who doesn't deserve them."
She stared at him, her eyes wide.
"I'll see you later. Okay?" He smiled and left, waving, leaving her with her thoughts.
