It has been a few weeks since you and Ukie had your 'coffee date' and when you decided on the date for the wedding as well as who will be attending and standing up front with you and Kuroo.
You hadn't asked Tsukishima yet about walking you down the aisle since he's been quite busy with school and volleyball right now.Kuroo has also been quite busy with his volleyball team and today, was the day of nationals.
All the preparations that Kuroo and Yaku have been working hard to do with the team will finally show. You had decided to take time off from writing on this day to attend the game.
It's been a long while since you had been to a volleyball game and you were quite excited to see Nekoma in action again.
It brought back many good memories.Kuroo said you didn't have to come as he wasn't playing but you wanted to see how hard and Yaku had worked with coaching.
Kuroo was head coach and was talking amongst the team before they were to line up and play their final game.
You didn't attend their first set of games as you had a busy schedule yourself, but now, you were sitting in the stands to watch the finals.
The team on the other side you didn't recognize but you were happy to see Nekoma actually making it to the finals.
When Kuroo was in high school they had lost and didn't advance to the finals, but this time, Kuroo made it his job to make sure that he'll see his old high school win nationals! As well as dedicate the win to Coach Nekomata who had retired. As you watched the game play out, you remembered how intriguing volleyball was and you were on the edge of your seat!
You watched the ball be rallied back and forth between teams trying to take the win.Nekoma had taken the first set and were very close with taking the second, all they needed was to keep their stamina in tact and push through.
The opposing team was good at defense just like Nekoma, but they also had an ace that reminded you of Bokuto with the way he would handle spikes.
You made a mental note to watch of the MSBY games again when you find the time.As the clock ticked away and everyone diving all over the court, Nekoma had won!
You stood up a bit too fast as made yourself dizzy which made you grip onto the railing in front of you, hearing a few "are you okay?" mumbles.
Once getting your balance back you cheered to Kuroo, who was engulfing his team in a series of hugs and high fives, it seemed that everyone was either crying or had big smiles on their faces..especially Yaku.
He looked like a proud mom but he was a mess to say the least. You had joined Kuroo down on the court and embraced him, telling him how proud you were to train a team to success! You also took note of how happy he was to be apart of volleyball again.
"Yaku and I are taking the team out for a celebration dinner, will you be okay going to the doctors on your own?" Kuroo asked as you both walked out of the gym.
You nodded. "Of course! I have Ukie coming with me today because she wants to throw us a gender reveal party..so she wants to know the gender..."
Kuroo smirked. "I can't wait to see your face when it's a boy."
You rolled your eyes. "The same goes for you when it's a girl."
He let out a chuckle. "No peeking though, you have to wait till saturday to know for sure okay? Promise me?"
You planted a small kiss on his cheek.
"I promise, as much as I don't like surprises, I'll hold myself back just for you.""Oi! Kuroo! We're about to head out man!" Yaku yelled.
"Be right there!" He yelled back.
He turned back to you and pulled you into a tight hug, but not too tight as he was minding your growing belly.
"I'll see you after okay? I love you.""I love you too." You smiled back.
You watched as Kuroo left with his team towards the buses and made your way to your car.
You gave Ukie a quick call to let her know you were on your way to pick her up, to which she just chimed how excited she was.
She wants it to be a girl really badly so she can shower her 'niece' with all kinds of girly things that Easton didn't really like.Arriving to the hospital with Ukie, you felt anxious but also excited. You wanted to know so badly yourself but you wouldn't hurt Kuroo like that.
You also felt bad that he couldn't be here but this was the only day available this week for you to go. Your usual doctor who you preferred is going away on holidays and won't be back for two weeks time.
Two weeks was too long for you and Kuroo to wait."Why hello there again! How's the soon to be mother?" The doctor chimed.
"Good..Although the craving are getting way out of hand."
She laughed. "As expected, now let's see how the little one is doing yeah?"
You nodded.
"Oh and this is my friend Ukie, she's here to know the gender for a party she's planning.""Correction best friend!" Ukie winked which made you roll your eyes.
"Ah well in that case, I'll make sure to keep the monitor out of your sight." The doctors smiled.
You shuddered at the coldness of the gel hit your stomach, making Ukie laugh as she knows how that felt and doesn't miss it at all.
You waited as the doctor did her thing.
You smiled when you heard the small muffled sound of a heart beat."Everything looks like it's going well, heartbeat sound good and oh?..here we go."
Ukie bolted beside the doctor to look at the monitor.
They exchanged a few words to each other softly so you couldn't hear it but when they were done, a smile on Ukie's face appeared."Ukie?" You said with a raised eyebrow.
Ukie shook her head. "I'm trying to keep a poker face but man..this is hard."
You bit the bottom of your lip as you wanted to know so badly and even thought about bribing Ukie to tell you and to just pretend to be surprised when Kuroo found out.
But you held yourself back, even though it felt like you were gonna die of anticipation.
