The visit with Lev and the others felt like old times. Watching Kuroo, Yaku and Lev play volleyball again brought a smile to your face.
Seeing Kuroo happy and playing volleyball again made you notice juts how much he missed playing.
Yes he was a coach and he's also works at a Japan sports promotion division for volleyball, but that wasn't as good as playing the real game.
You remembered what Kuroo's mother had said about his father telling him that playing volleyball pro wasn't gonna be a good option, and it broke your heart to know that he did what his father said.
It also brought up the question about what they talked about at that lunch.

It was currently a Wednesday afternoon and you were staring at your laptop. You felt Ukie's words burn into your head.
Should you really publish a novel instead of another manga?

The manga you had made while in America, got a big recognition and did very well in sales, but now sales had slowed down and you knew it was time for another one to be released.
But the thought of this manga is causing a headache.

Yes you had already trashed the first one that you were doing while you still worked for Homura. And rewriting this one is what caused you and Akaashi to be fired..That thought alone made you feel incredibly guilty and made you feel obligated to finish this manga.
But an idea of a novel hasn't left your mind.

You found yourself typing out a new story.
You just type and let all the ideas onto the computer. It wouldn't hurt to just write for yourself right?
Back in America, you had taken a creative writing class which helped you with grammar and stuff like that, but it also made you write many short stories and just write for yourself.
It's been awhile since you felt that rush of having an idea and writing it down to make it come alive.

And now, here you were. A coffee next to you, an empty apartment and a laptop to pour your heart and thoughts into.

Another thing had bothered you as well. The fact that you don't read like you used to. Was it because of the no time? Or was it because the real reason you read was to tune out the real world, to tune out your parents constantly nagging? But now you don't have a reason to tune out the world, you were happy and content with how your life was going.

You looked down at your hand and smiled at the ring that Kuroo had given you on that one breakfast date.
He wants to marry you and you were excited to finally take his last name.

As you were typing away you heard a clap of thunder.
It startled you but brought your attention to the window and your eyes traced the water drops falling down the window.
You remembered when you were a kid that you used to pretend that the raindrops were racing one another to see who got to the bottom of the window first.

You smiled to yourself.
You used to love rainy days and used to curl up into a book and get lost in the world that the pages provided, escaping reality.
You stared out the window as watched as the dark grey clouds had slowly started to cover the sun, causing the world to turn into a dark and gloomy grey.
A small smile etched onto your face.

You had decided to shut down the computer and put it away.
You felt like you were in a daze with excitement.

Entering your room, you noticed that you didn't have as much books as you used to at your parents house.
You remembered how your sister gathered as much as she could and gave it to you. The rest was set out on the curb and thrown away.

You used to have books stacked on books and a bookshelf filled, It used to be a big part of your personality, and today, on this rainy day, it was time to travel into a universe, written to perfection.

You decided on a certain favourite, a limited edition gifted to you from Yamamoto and Fukunaga. You made a mental note to message those two and see how they're doing.

Grabbing the book you went to the couch but stopped when you remembered the last time you sat there and read.
You were pregnant at the time and you remembered humming to them while you read. The memory felt like a dagger in the heart and you decided that you didn't want to sit there, it'll only distract you from the words on the pages of your book.
You turned and eyed the armchair next to the couch.
You laid the book down on its cushions and pushed it towards the window.

Once you were happy with its new position, you went to the big full length window and opened the blinds even more, Letting the colour of grey fill your home more.

You smiled to yourself before finally settling in and opening the book and begun the journey.

You didn't even realize the time till Kuroo was waking through the door in his coach gear.

When Kuroo walked through the door, he opened his mouth to announce he was home but stopped when he noticed you sitting in the armchair and had your face stuck in a book.
It's been a long time since he saw that sight.

He smiled as he watched you from behind, he missed this side of you. He knew just how much you've also been through since coming back to him.
He also knew how strong you've been for him through his grieving stage. Hell you even organized his own mother's funeral because he couldn't bring himself to do it.

He quietly took off his shoes and set down his bag that had his work clothes he changed out of.
He walked over to you and wrapped his arms around your neck from behind.

You took in his familiar scent and smiled.
"Welcome home Tetsu."

He hummed in response.
He then walked over next to you and lifted your from the chair, holding you up in bridal style and sat himself down, putting you onto his lap.
"Please, don't let me distract you from reading.."

You smiled and raised an eyebrow. "You're gonna watch me read?"

He nodded. "I missed seeing you like this..So please, don't let me stop you." He smirked.

You shook your head in amusement before leaning to him and joined your lips with his, taking in his scent once again, remembering that back in high school he smelt just like this, he was just as addicting as before.

He pulled away from you and held your face with one of his hands.
You leaned your head into the warmth of his hand.

"I'm sorry that you had to be so strong for me these past few."

"You don't need to apologize Tetsu, I just wanted be there for you as best I could as you were for me."

He smiled, pulling you into another gentle kiss. "I love you so much Y/n..How did I get so lucky?"

"We both got stuck as chemistry partners, that's pretty lucky...I love you too Tetsurou, more than words can explain."
