Three months.
Yes a whole three months had passed now.
During those three months you have been working your butt of with work and hiding the pregnancy from Kuroo and the rest of your friends. You even avoided Ukie as she would know right away that you were pregnant again.
You were thankful that with this baby, the morning sickness wasn't bad and only happened in the early hours when you could pretend that you were taking a shower.Kei was still the only one to know and you were happy that he was also keeping it a secret, even from his boyfriend Yamaguchi.
You also had many appointments with the doctor that Tsukishima took you to, and all seemed well so far.
You were finally about to hit the second trimester mark and that also meant that a miscarriage is less likely. Your doctor even informed you that this pregnancy seemed like it was going to carry out, which made you incredibly happy.Right now, you were hosting a publishing party because you had finally published your first manga since leaving America.
You and your boss as well as Akaashi were working hard to get everything put together for the launch and you even wrote it in english so everyone around the world would have a chance on reading your work. You were holding the small party at Akaashi and Bokuto's house, since they wouldn't get a noise complaint from basement tentends like you would back in your apartment.
Akaashi was more than happy to hold it in his home and even had a couple of spare room people could stay if the drinking got out of hand for some. You had invited many friends as well as your older cousin Akiteru. He was more than happy to be apart of this incredible milestone of yours.
No one knew this, not even Kei. But you were gonna announce to everyone that you were pregnant when you made a toast.
Now of course, people found it weird that you out of all the people weren't drinking, but you made up a stupid excuse that you were the DD driver tonight.
Of course some tried to talk you out of that but you declined. Soon they'd know the real reason why."I don't mean to be rude Y/n-san, but you looked like you gained some weight."
Your face dropped. "Lev..that's not appropriate.."
Lev's face turned red and he shrugged sheepishly. "Sorry.." He mumbled.
You chuckled and let it slide, because yes it was true, you did gain weight but only because your belly was starting to show more and more now.
You found it frustrating just how much clothes didn't fit anymore."I can't believe you'd just up and say that Lev!!" Ukie said as she stood by your side, she was already three drinks in and it was evident.
"I said sorry! I was-awe man!!"
"That's like asking a lady her age! Not good Lev.." She grumbled out.
"Had a bit too much to drink there Ukie?" You said as he kept swaying into your side.
She shook her head. "Not enough! Easton is at the babysitters till tomorrow afternoon! I'm gonna let loose!" She slurred most of her words, holding her cup in the air.
All you could do was smile at your friend.
"There you are." You heard Kuroo say behind you, he then wrapped his arms around your shoulders and held you. "Having fun baby?"
"I am yes, it's nice to have everyone here celebrating with me."
He smiled and kiss the back of your head, he was about to say something else but Akaashi had called everyone over to make a speech.
You stood in front of everyone, getting ready to hear what he had to say."I'd like to make a toast to a brilliant author everyone!" He spoke.
There were a few cheers to him before he continued on.
"Y/n, you have done nothing but worked so hard for this and if anyone deserves this, it's you. I am honoured to be your editor and more than excited to continue this journey with you! Your career doesn't end here, as it's finally just begun!"
You smiled to Akaashi and held up your drink that was only water in the air. "And here's to the best editor in the world, and very good friend of mine!"
Everyone cheered and held their glasses in the air.
Congratulating you, Kahori and Akaashi.Akaashi then motioned you to step forward and to say a few words.
You did without hesitation and took a deep breath before smiling.
"Since I was a kid, i've always had a book stuck in my face. There was never a moment that I didn't have one in my hands, and I must of had my own library at one point, but I like to think that if it wasn't for that, I wouldn't be here where I am today. Which also brings me to this. This is to Akaashi! If it wasn't for him looking for a job that wasn't only for him but for me too, then I wouldn't be standing here right now with all of you. He is my guardian angel and I will be forever grateful for his kind nature."
There were a few cheers before you spoke again.
"Also to my sister, who surprised me with her amazing talent but also saving me from trying to find an artist that could bring my ideas to life, who better could it be than my own sister. I love you Kahori!""Shut up you suck up!" She yelled back to you which made everyone laugh.
You let the laughter die down before speaking again. "And to all of you. You all had been by my side since day one and never once told me that I couldn't do it! I hold so much love for all of you and I'm so appreciative of all of you!"
"You better be!" Tsukishima yelled out to which made everyone laugh yet again.
You waved him off and rolled your eyes.
"Before I shut up, there's one more thing I'd like to say. Kuroo?" You held out your hand to Kuroo and pulled him beside you.
You gave a quick glance to Kei, which made him realize what you were doing right now.'Finally' He mouthed to you.
You smiled and looked back to Kuroo.
He was already staring at you with love in his eyes as he waited for you to speak. You took a deep breath. "Also, I'm pregnant."
Kuroo's smile faded and turned into a look of shock.
"Fu****g knew it!" Ukie yelled out.
