You wiped the tears from your face and stood up straight. "Mr.Kuroo? What are you doing here?"
The man who resembled Kuroo way too much had approached you.
"L/n Y/n, yes? I heard you had come back to Japan..I see my son still has your heart."You nodded slowly. "I heard about the divorce..Sorry to hear."
He shook his head. "It was inevitable."
Then why are you here?
You gripped your hands together, clenching hard and feeling your nails dig into your skin.
"I got a phone call..is she in there? And why are you crying?"
You gave him a puzzled look and blinked at him a few times.
"You don't know? They didn't tell you?"Well I mean they didn't tell us either till we got here...Probably doing the same with him.
Ignoring your words, Kuroo's father stepping beside you and put his hand on the nob.
"If you don't mind, Please step aside."You shook your head. "I can't do that sir..I'm sorry but please just give Tetsu a few more minutes."
"Look I know she won't be thrilled to see me but I have to talk to Tetsu as well." He went to twist the doorknob but you put a hand on his chest and pushed him away with force.
You didn't want Kuroo seeing his dad at this moment.
Kuroo never got along with father and was closest with his mother. Right now he needed time to say goodbye before he sees his father.
You didn't have a choice but to protect Kuroo."Just one more minute Sir."
"And who are you to put your hands on me and tell me I'm aloud to see my son and his mother? My family."
You shook your head and spoke in almost a whisper. "You left them long ago, you don't have the right to call them family."
Kuroo's father stared at you with his mouth hung open slightly. He was about to say something but Kuroo's voice called for you.
You wanted to tell Tetsu one moment but his father acted faster and pushed you to the ground and opened the door.
"Dad?" Kuroo spoke through his dry throat. "Y/n? Why are you on the floor?...Did you push her?!?" Kuroo felt his blood start to boil. This was the last person he wished to see.
Kuroo's father said nothing as he stared at the bed with his ex wife was laying, with a sheet over her body.
His breath hitched, "She's gone?""Why are you here?" Kuroo spoke as you rose back to your feet and walked over to his side.
Kuroo's father locked eyes with his only son. "I got a phone call, I wanted to make sure she was okay but I see now that-"
"Why do you even care? You never did before? Or did you forget!"
"Tetsu..Not right now baby.."
Kuroo looked down to you and gave you a soft look. He didn't want to fight either but his emotions were everywhere and he couldn't seem to hold himself back.
"Son..I wanna apologize."
"It's too late for that, you broke her heart, you know that? She didn't talk or eat for days, months! You don't get to just come here and apologize." Kuroo wasn't gonna hold back.
"I'm sorry son, for your loss, I know you were very close with your mother."
Kuroo clicked his tongue. "Don't act like that."
"Tetsu baby, not here, not in this room, please take it somewhere else.."
"No she's right Tetsurou, Please later today join be for lunch. I do wanna talk."
"Not happening." Kuroo crossed his arms.
Kuroo's dad did not like that answer and felt his blood also start to boil."You are my son, I will not stand here and let you disobey me. Lunch at two, I will meet you at the small cafe by your work."
Kuroo decided to keep quiet this time.
It wasn't long till Kuroo's father left the room. You wrapped your arm around Kuroo's and held him tight. You couldn't even begin to know how be he must be feeling right now.
Listening to Kuroo's fether talk to him that way only reminded you of your own father who is currently sitting in jail for his crimes.
But you didn't want to think about that. right now your fiance needed you more than ever and you needed to be strong just like he was for you."Tetsu, why don't you go and get some coffee maybe? Take a walk..I'll take care of the paper work here for your mom." You spoke in a gentle voice.
Kuroo looked to you and you locked eyes with him. It pained you to see his eyes look so empty.
He gave you a weak smile and kissed your forehead.
"I'm sorry about that..But thank you..I don't know what I'd do without you."
With that he had walked out of the room to get you both coffee since you assumed that neither of you will going back to sleep tonight. It was nearing five in the morning and the sun was slowly started to peak over the horizon of the buildings in Tokyo.
You had asked a nurse passing by to bring the doctor back in here for paperwork and stuff.
It wasn't long till you were signing the papers for her release. The doctor let you sign since you had said that you were married to Kuroo, He wasn't gonna press the man who just lost his mother.
You also had called Kuroo's work and left a message that explained that he won't be in for today and needed the rest of the week off.Your last call was going to be Yaku.
There was no way Kuroo would be in any right mind to teach volleyball right now, but when you talked to Yaku he was just thankfully waking up.
You had told Yaku what happened and of course he wanted to race here but you told him not to. After a bit of arguing, he finally gave in and stayed put where he was.
He told you to tell Kuroo to not to worry about volleyball that he'll handle it and to give his condolences. You waited for Kuroo to return but when he didn't you grew worried and set out looking for him.
After a few minutes of searching, you found him outside on a bench looking up into the morning sky.
He looked like he was in deep thought and hesitated to go over to him.
You knew one person who would help. Who Kuroo could always count on no matter what. You picked up your phone and clicked on the contact.
It rang for minute before a hello was heard."Kenma? Can you come to the hospital..Tetsu needs you.."
