Coffee Date

It has been a week since Kuroo Mother's funeral.
Kuroo had been grieving and today is his first day back to work, as well as back to coaching beside Yaku.
You have been doing everything you can to help in recover by giving him all the cuddles and making his favourite meals.
Even Kahori has been trying to keep his mood up.
Kenma has been visiting more often than usual and has been a huge help with taking care of Kuroo.

You were currently at a cozy cafe with your best friend Ukie. Both of you thought I was needed to just hangout with no one but the two of you.
You were more than happy to accept as you haven't really been hanging with her since moving back to Japan.
If you were being completely honest, your friendship was still strong but it wasn't like how it was before you left to America.

"So tell me, how's the new manga coming?"

You sighed. "Well I have almost finished it but there's still some tweeking that Akaashi and I need to go through.."

"Have you heard about him finding another job yet?'

You shook your head. "He's still searching, I think he's still trying to come back to reality after his honeymoon with Bokuto.."

Ukie started to laugh.

"What?"

She grasped for air before speaking. "Wait so they're married now yes?"

You gave Ukie an unimpressed look. "Yes. You were at their wedding Ukie..."

She shook her head. "No no, what I'm getting at is..Do we still call Akaashi, Akaashi? Or is he now Bokuto..But Bokuto is still Bokuto..Won't that get confusing?"

You pondered for a moment, trying to process what Ukie just said, her words were too scrambled and you needed a moment.
"Uh..I guess we call them by their first names if that makes it easier..."

She took a small sip of her iced coffee. "I just thought it was funny..I never really thought about it..ya know since Ak-Keiji..Took Bo-Ugh-Kou's last name.." She paused. "Man this is too confusing!" She exclaimed and laid her head on the table you two were sitting at.

You chuckled at her. "You're just making it confusing..just call then Keiji and Koutarou..Not that hard.."

Her head shot up. "Says you! It's a habit of mine to call them by them formally.."

"Were all close, no need for formalities..That's what Keiji would say at least.."

"Awe man..don't tell him I brought this up..he'd just laugh.."

You smiled to your friend. "Don't worry, my lips are sealed. Anyways, Hows Easton?"

She took a deep breath. "He's gonna be starting school next year..I don't think I'm ready for that.."

"It's a big milestone that's for sure."

"I've been trying to teach him basic thing like his 123's and ABC's, Ken too..he's a great dad.."

You chuckled as you took a sip of your (Fav Drink.) "Like I said before, never in my life I thought he'd be a teenage parent, you too, but you both made it work and you're doing an amazing job."

Ukie smiled. "Thank you Y/n..You'll get your chance soon..Have you guys tried again?"

You shook your head. "Nope, there's just too much going on..I don't think having a baby is what we need right now..besides it still too soon to try.."

Ukie reached over and grabbed your hand. "You both are so strong, He's gonna be okay."

"I hope so..I miss his funny self..but I mean I don't blame him being sad..It's normal.."

"What about his dad? I haven't heard how that lunch went that you told me..."

You shrugged. "I don't know how it went actually, Tetsu came home and didn't say a work about it. I can only imagine that it went bad and he doesn't want to talk about it..I'm not gonna push him either."

"You're so patient, If Ken and I were in your shoes, I'd keep pressing the topic till he talked, no matter if it was gonna cause a fight-"

"I don't think it'll cause an argument, we never argue..if anything I'm scared that all these emotions he's building up will explode and well..."

Ukie gave you a look of reassurance. "It's just a rough patch for him, he'll be okay, and he has you, I've never seen you be such a softy till you started dating him..Remember when you got into a fight with those girls in high school in the girls bathroom?"

You chuckled. "How could I forget..Kahori didn't believe me when I told her..Damn I still have the scar under my eye." You leaned in closer to show Ukie your scar. "When I tell you that she had cat claws..I mean it."

Ukie leaned back into her chair and laughed. "Man high school feels like it was forever ago.."

You also leaned back and crossed your arms. "Yeah it really does..I can't believe that Kahori will be graduating this year.."

"Has she decided what she wants to do?"

You shook your head and bit the bottom of your lip. "She hasn't really talked about it...I should probably help her figure it out maybe...I mean I didn't really go to college or university..I only took a creative writing class while in America to pass the time..So I can't be mad if she choses not to go.."

"That's understandable..You know I still say you drop manga writing and actually write your own novel.."

You shrugged. "I've considered it..But I don't know.."

"Hey tell me this, when's the last time you picked up a book and read? You used to read all the time.."

You took another sip of your drink before speaking. "It's been a little bit..I just haven't found the time I guess.."

"I mean you are a busy lady that's for sure." Ukie smiled.

"Are you gonna do some night classes? I remember a few years ago you were talking about it."

Ukie shook her head. "I like being a stay at home mom, and Ken makes enough money for the three of us to live comfortably, he's always telling me that he's happy that he can support his family..." Ukie looked like she lost her train of thought.
You gave her a puzzled look.

"Mmkay, what aren't you telling me?" You lightly kicked her leg under the table.

Ukie smiled. "Ken wants to have another baby. I was hesitant of telling you..well because..I'm sorry."

You chuckled and finished off your drink. "Don't hold back on me, I'm okay and I'm really happy to hear that..How do you feel about that?"

"I mean..Easton was an easy and happy baby..I do kinda miss it..and I want a daughter."

You smiled. "I told you Easton was gonna be a boy..but hey maybe this time-Ow"
You rubbed your leg where Ukie had kicked you.
The two of your shared a laugh before you suddenly stopped and stared out the cafe glass window.

Ukie noticed your sudden expression change and looked to where you were staring at.
Her mouth fell open. "Oh my god..is that Lev!?!?!"
