Tsukishima's POV

I stared out the window as we resumed our trip. Kuroo was humming to himself, loudly, and tapping his fingers on the steering wheel. I sighed quietly to myself, doing my best to tune him out. Kuroo wasn't exactly a bad singer or anything, just wasn't my taste in music.

"Hey, Kuroo."

"Yeah?"

"Look." I said, pointing to a car off the side of the road that was flipped. It had several infected surrounding it. They looked like they were trying to get something inside of the vehicle. Kuroo hummed in thought before stopping the car. I leaned back, handing him the baseball bat we had spiked and kept in with us for stuff like this.

I stayed in the car as Kuroo got out and walked over to the infected. There were only a few, so he could handle it. In fact, I think he got a thrill out of this shit. I watched as Kuroo bashed in the infected's heads, the decaying bodies falling.

Kuroo kneeled down and peaked into the car. Was someone in there? I leaned forward, adjusting my glasses and seeing Kuroo help pull someone from the flipped car. I furrowed my brows when I saw it was another young man. He walked with Kuroo as they walked back to the car.

"Who's that." I asked suspiciously. I mean, the guy looked harmless enough. But still, can't exactly trust anyone out here.

"My name's Kenma." The man said, Kuroo putting the spiked bat away. I slowly nodded with a raised brow.

"Alright. So?"

"Kuroo told me you both are going to a settlement up north. He said I can accompany you." Kenma said, that catching my attention. I shot Kuroo a glare as he shrugged.

"Hey, safety in numbers." Kuroo said with a smile. I rolled my eyes, crossing my arms as Kenma climbed into the back seat quietly. Kuroo hummed to himself again, starting the car as we headed off.

Nothing against Kenma, but I wasn't very happy about this. It could be dangerous to be picking this guy up off the streets. But, Kuroo is right in a way. Safety in numbers. And who knows, maybe Kenma could be useful.

Kenma didn't really do anything. He sat in the back seat, staring out the window silently. At least he wasn't annoying. Once it got dark, Kuroo yawned and brought the car to a halt.

"Hey, can we switch?" He asked with a yawn. I nodded, getting out of the car and waiting for Kuroo to get out of the driver seat. Once he was out, I got in and readjusted the seat and mirrors. I stopped when Kuroo opened the door to get in the back with Kenma.

"What're you doing."

"What do you mean?"

"Why're you getting in the backseat. Use the passenger?" I said, Kuroo shrugging and saying there would be some extra leg room and space in the back seat. I slowly nodded, waiting for him to get situated before starting the car. I kept my eyes on the road for a good few hours. But when I heard a small snore, I glanced in the rearview mirror.

The sight made me, upset. Kuroo never seemed to want to sleep with me, unless he was certain it'd lead to sex. Yet there he was, in the back of the car sleeping peacefully with Kenma. I knew full well there wasn't more leg room back there. That's why I chose to sleep and sit in the passenger seat when we were in the car.

For a moment, I actually considered slamming the brakes to throw them both forward and wake them. But I stopped myself from doing so and just kept going. I tried to focus on the empty road, but my eyes kept wandering to Kuroo.

Kenma had snuggled more into Kuroo's side, and Kuroo seemed to quite enjoy it despite being asleep. He even leaned closer to Kenma in his sleep.

"Mm... If I keep looking at you two I'll crash us all." I mumbled to myself, turning the mirror so I wouldn't be able to see the two. I drove until we came to a bit of a road block. It had to happen sooner or later. I put the car in park, getting out and examining the vehicles blocking the way.

I took in a breath, placing my hands on the back of the old truck and pushed. The car began slowly rolling forward, but everything on it seemed rusted, and it was fucking heavy.

"Ngh, gee. Thank you so much Kuroo. For being awake to help me. And definitely not cuddling someone in the car instead of helping your boyfriend of like 8 years...!" I said to myself between gritted teeth. Once the truck was out of the way, I sighed and took in a deep breath.

At least it was cold out from being night. I got back into the car, continuing forward in silence. Well, Kuroo and Kenma were both passed out cold, so I took the "privacy' to gently hum to myself. I kept the volume of it down to not wake either of them, but it was something to pass the time.

Once it was almost light, Kuroo woke up. He looked around with a yawn, taking a good look at Kenma before turning his attention to me.

"Hey, how far did we get."

"A good but. But we still have a long way to go. Now get your ass up and switch with me." I grumbled, Kuroo being gentle with Kenma. Moving him to lay on the car seat when I stopped the car. We both got out, Kuroo stretching.

"Gee, what's got you so cranky?"

"Nothing." I said, getting into the passenger seat as Kuroo kept going. I folded my arms, looking out the window and reclining the seat enough to put my feet up on the dashboard. My boots left dust on it, but the cleanliness of our car is really the least of our worries. Our worries should be all about survival. Yet, mine was about Kuroo and I... well, more like Kuroo and Kenma.
