Yamaguchi's POV
I yawned, waking up to find myself still in Tsukki's arms. Hm? I thought that he had to go to his patrol today.
"Tsukki?"
"Mm."
"What are you doing still in bed??"
"I'm not going on a patrol today." He said calmly. I just nodded and yawned. Cuddling up closer to Tsukki. He was so comfy.
"Do you want me to go get our breakfast?"
"No... Stay a little longer." I mumbled, hanging onto Tsukki tighter. He nodded and held me closer.
"This is nice." I mumbled out loud, not exactly meaning to. Tsukki glanced down at me with a raised brow.
"Oh? You think so?"
"Huh? Oh! I didn't- I mean..!"
"Be quiet."
"S-sorry Tsukki!" I mumbled quickly, pulling myself away in embarrassment. Tsukki reached over and pulled me closer, my face right up close to his. I looked at him wide eyed, my cheeks red.
"Tsukki??"
"Stop talking." He grumbled, pressing his lips onto mine. If it were possible, I blushed even more. But, I liked this. A lot. I slowly closed my eyes and kissed him back. When we pulled away, Tsukki was blushing slightly too.
"...Sorry." He grumbled, looking away from me. I giggled slightly and tilted my head.
"Sorry for what?"
"..That was very, sudden of me."
"That's okay... I liked it."
"...I did too." He said, glancing back at me with a tiny smile. I smiled and gave him another little kiss. Tsukki smiled faintly, grabbing me and pulling me in for a deeper kiss.
"Shit.."
"Is something wrong, Tsukki??"
"..I like you. But I shouldn't."
"Huh? Why not?"
"It's dangerous to like people in this world. Couples in the old sector I lived in would run away together all the time. And it'd always end up with them getting themselves killed." He grumbled with a sigh before getting up. I sat up with him and tilted my head.
"I think it can make things better."
"You do?"
"Mhm! If you don't have anyone to love, it's so lonely. Having someone you like can give you a reason to survive."
"...I've never considered that."
"Is it because of.. What happened with you and Kuroo??" I asked gently, Tsukki sighing and shrugging.
"I don't know. Maybe." He said quietly. I nodded slightly, scooting closer and cupping his cheeks so he'd look at me.
"Well, it's up to you what you want to do. But, I like you too.." I said with a giggle, Tsukki looking at me quietly before wrapping his arms around my waist and lying back on the bed.
"...Then, will you be my boyfriend..?"
"Of course I will!" I said happily and looked down at Tsukki. He looked a little bit relieved and returned a tiny smile. I took a glance out the window. I didn't have to leave for a little bit, so, may as well make myself comfy.
Asahi's POV
"Noya, are you sure? Daichi said I could go with someone else if you-"
"Are you kidding? No way am I going to be passing up another patrol. I've been cooped up here too long."
"It's been only two days-"
"C'mon let's go!" Noya said, grabbing my hand and dragging me to the gates. We told the lookouts and signed out before they allowed us to go outside.
Noya and I have been doing this a while, so we usually were put on paired patrols. Plus, Daichi told me he was afraid that if I let Noya go alone, he'd blow something up.
We walked together towards our first lookout. Things seemed pretty clear for the first 2 checkpoints. At our third and last one, there were several roaming around at the bottom of the old and pretty wall-less building.
"Hehe, brainless brain-eaters." Noya said as we sat together.
"Noya.."
"What? It isn't like they can understand me." He said with a dismissive wave. I sighed gently and nodded as I drew the bow from around my back. We had enough guns, but I always preferred a bow and arrow. It was more silent.
And besides, ammo was scarce. We only had so much of it, and arrows could always be crafted. And I always thought they were more effective when going on patrols. If there were ever a horde or a lot of mutated infected, then we'd need the ammo while the arrows can take out the small ones easier.
Noya of course preferred guns, but he was smart enough to not use it when he knew there were a lot around. So he let me handle this. Surely they'd find us eventually, but the bow would be a good way to silently take out a few undetected.
Noya watched as I shot a few of the infected down on the ground. Once the others began to notice, they turned in our direction and made their ways over while making their groans and growling noises. I grabbed another arrow from the quiver to get ready to shoot, when Noya suddenly kissed me.
"Noya.. Now isn't the time.." I mumbled against my boyfriend's lips. I knew I should probably focus on the infected down below us, but it was so easy to get captivated in Noya's kisses.
"Aw, c'mon Asahi. This adds to the danger. Isn't it thrilling? And besides, we're alone for once." Noya asked with a giggle, tilting his head a bit and wrapping his arms around my neck. I used my free hand to hold onto a bit of the building to keep us steady.
"No... it makes it dangerous." I said, kissing him again. Noya just laughed, both of us taking a glance to make sure none of the infected were too close before kissing some more.
I guess we could spare a moment or two.
