Tsukishima's POV
"Alright, that's everyone. Let's go quickly." Daichi said as he led this larger group out of the gates. All of us had to carry supplies to take care of this horde. We all left quietly, following the trail that Asahi and Noya had taken and to the place they spotted it.

Before we even saw them, I could smell the scent of rotted flesh and blood. It was disgusting. We all stayed low and peered down over the legs of the cliff we were at.

"Holy shit..." Someone mumbled as we saw the horde migrating all together.

My reaction would be the same if it weren't for the fact I was worried we'd be seen or heard. I looked over at Daichi who was examining the large group carefully.

"How do you guys deal with these...?"

"A lot of supplies. A lot of hiding. And a lot of luck." Daichi said before going back to observing.

Well. That just fills me with confidence..

I shook my head as Daichi finally finished his observations and explained to us what we should do. This didn't sound like it was going to be easy. But, hopefully with the amount of materials we were carrying for various types of explosives, it could help. I just hope we get out of this alive.

Yamaguchi's POV

Aghhh I can't sleep.. I'm worried about Tsukki. And the others. He said they won't be back until morning though. I tried shutting my eyes and rolling onto my side, but I still couldn't sleep.

I ended up tossing and turning before giving in and getting up. I quietly left the building and wandered outside. Most everyone else, except for night watch and night medics, were in bed. I looked up at the moon silently when someone walked up next to me.

"Hi Yamaguchi."

"Huh-! Oh, you scared me Suga!"

"Sorry. What're you doing out here?" He asked as I looked over at him. I smiled faintly to see who I'm assuming is his daughter asleep in his arms.

"I couldn't sleep.."

"Worried about Tsukishima?"

"How'd you know?"

"Whenever Daichi has to go out, I never sleep.. I'm worried about him. Worried if he comes home or not." Suga said with a sigh, kissing his daughter's head. I nodded with a tiny smile.

"I see.. Yeah, I am worried. I mean, he's taken care of a few at a time, sure. But a horde?"

"Yeah, I know.. It's scary. But someone has to do it to keep the rest of us safe. Everyone has someone or something they need to protect." Suga said gently. I nodded as we both walked together. Suga really was great. He was so nice. A little chaotic from stress a few times but otherwise great.

We changed the topic to try and get our minds off of the worry. Instead, Suga stayed quiet and talked to me about his daughter, again. But I didn't mind listening. And she was adorable.

We must have been up for hours, honestly. But I still don't think I'd be getting any sleep without Tsukki. And Suga didn't seem to want to sleep without knowing Daichi was okay either.

Once the sun was beginning to peak and the sky was getting a little bit of light, we heard a commotion at the gates. Suga said he would come see what it was, but he didn't want his daughter to see, just in case. I nodded in understanding before running towards the gates.

The group that had gone out was back, and I saw Tsukki. I smiled and ran over to him, crashing into him. He stumbled, smiling faintly and wrapping his arms around me.

"Yama, what are you doing here?"

"I couldn't sleep.." I said with a small blush from embarrassment. Tsukki laughed faintly and nodded while letting me hold onto him. I looked around at the others, and I spotted Daichi. I bet Suga will be just as happy to see him back.

"Alright, Yamaguchi, if you're awake, can you please head to the medical building? We need to give everyone here a good look over." Daichi said with a small smile. I nodded, grabbing Tsukki's hand and taking him with me as others followed.

I went to check Tsukki first, but he said to go check the others first so he could doze. I nodded and let him fall asleep on the makeshift bed while I and others checked the people from patrol. Gee, whatever must have happened must have been scary. A lot of these guys had some new wounds.

Some even had burns. I'm not too sure where burns could have come from, but I'm not to sure I want to know. After everyone was checked up on, I walked over to where Tsukki was. I smiled faintly to see him sleeping peacefully.

I didn't want to wake him up, he looked tired. And he probably was exhausted, but I had to make sure he was okay, and then he could go on home and sleep all day if he'd like.

"Tsukki?" I said, gently shaking his shoulder. He winced in pain, so I pulled my hand away quickly. He must have hurt his arm.

"Sorry.. I'll try to be quick and then you can go home." I said with a smile. Tsukki slowly sat up and shook his head.

"I'm fine, I'll just get home."

"Tsukki, this won't take long." I said, checking his face and neck for any scrapes, burns, or cuts. He looked alright there. When I reached his arms, that's when Tsukki seemed to be in pain.

"Did you hurt your arms out there somehow??" I asked with worry, Tsukki staying quiet.

"Tsukki..?"

"Sorry, Yama." He said simply. I looked at him before slowly rolling the fabric on his arm up to show his skin. There was an infected bite mark.
