During summer,Chanyeol was not able to si Baek that much.They did not take the same classes,so they were fewer chanses for them to meet.

He thought that was for the best.That was the end of this weird feeling he was having. He could finally return to his normal life without Baek popping in his mind evey minute.As if to prove a point,he fought the urge to look at his phone and stare at that photo.

It was just a passing crush,'he told himself. It was bound to go away.It had to.

One day,he was sitting in his studio,but he could not think what to paint.He reached for his phone and flipped through the places he took,but none appealed to hi.He switched to his sketchpad and tried to draw.Still,he drew a blank.He continued searching through his phone to find inspiration.

Untill he reached that picture,the photo he had not seen for the longest time.Something akin to warmth spread through him,like that feeling when you find your favorite blanket on a rainy day.It seemed impossible and a little silly,but he missed that person.

'Stop.You don't want to be hurt again.'

Chanyeol chucked his phone away and went on to his day,but he could not take his mind off that photo hidden in his phone.Neither that face nor that person.

'Maybe of I draw him,he'll stop appearing in my head.'

He found himself printing that picture.As he waited for the printer to finish,half of his mind detested this idea.This was like saving a piece of incriminating evidence,a physical manifestation of his secret crush. He was finally naming--claiming--was he first thought to be a fleeting feeling.

But this would remain a secret.No one should know,and no one should see these things.This part of him would remain hidden for as long as he lived.

When,at last,he had the picture in his hand,he thought he could put all of this behind.He set to work on the portrait..the realized with so much fustration that he lacked the skills in that erea.No matter how much he tried,everything ended failure.His inexperienced could not do justice for Baek.He could not quite get those prominent cheekbones and deep-set eyes.He studied and tried again untill he collected quite a few failed paintings.

The following semester,he was hanging out with his friend at the bar when he felt someone nudged him.

"Why the long face?Kris asked.

He only saw Baek once at the cafeteria,that was it.He tried to ignore the dejection he felt.Instead,he answered,"Just tired from all the papers and readings.

At that moment,the door opened,
and as if there was a magnet pulling,Chanyeol look over,just in time for a now a familiar face to enter.He almost choked on his drinks.He was trying to catch any sight of this person all around the university,and he would only find Baek here in the bar?The bar of all places?The studios Baek?But Chanyeol was not complaining.

Moonlight was their group's usual hang out place.,so their pretty much knew the usual patrons.Baek was not one of them.

Unlike the usual impassive face Baek wore at the university,he had an excited face.He glanced around the bar untill his eyes landed on the counter.Then he smiled,his whole face softened and lit up.Chanyeol had to consciously remind himself to close his mouth and gulp because his throat was so dry.

Chanyeol discreetly followed Baek with his eyes.Baek meet another guy,a perky one.He recognized him as one of the new faces in the bar,always sitting in that erea.They chatted and Baek continued to glow as the night went on.Chanyeol knew that look,and he could also tell that Baek had no chance.Baek was similar to Chanyeol before,and that guy was no different from his ex-- their eyes set on someone else,but Chanyeol and Baek were tok in to them to actually notice.

Night after night,ho goes to the bar hoping to catch Baek.And night after night,he saw them together.Everytime he wanted to support Baek even if he knew that Baek's quest was futile.Even if he knew that his efforts and feelings were futile.And night after night it felt like someone stabing him in the chest.

"Ah,yes.This number was given to me by my landlord.Yes I'm looking for an apartment."

Chanyeol peeked from the back of the tree he was sitting from.It was a familiar voice,so how could he not look?He was studying for his next class when he heard a voice.

"Yes,yes.cheaper,please.Anyway,I'll drop by to your office later.Thank you."Baek said to someone on the phone.He was standing not far from where Chanyeol was sitting.

Chanyeol surpressed a smile that was threatening to break through his face,proud that he guessed the person right and also embarrassed for feeling proud to something as pretty as that.The first time he found Baek in his secret place,he was stunned.He had just woken up from a nap when he realized that he was not alone.One of the benches was occupied by a guy who was hugging both of his knees as though he carried the world on his shoulder.Baek look miserable that Chanyeol felt hurt by just watching him.

Baek liked to hang out here,especially when he was troubled.Chanyeol knew well who caused that.There were nights when he witnessed the changes of Baek's mood,from a happy Bael turning sour every minute by the appearance of an unknown male friend who made the perky guy happy.Baek would bri g that sourness untill the nect day in this place.

It took a lot of effort to stop himself from crossing their distance and offer comport.But he knew that his support was unwelcomed,if not intruding.That did not stop him from wanti g to offer his help,even just a little.Not because he had ulterior motives.He only wanted to be Baek's friend

Baek was on the phone again when Chanyeol peeked out the tree.

"Good afternoon.Yes,I already canceld the agent that you gave me.Thank you.I see.I'll drop by later to see if they have available apartmemt.Thank you again."

Sorry.I don't have enough time to edit 😂😂😂.It should be Chanyeol watching Baek but..lol never mind.
