CHAP 42

"Welc--Baek."

Baek replayed and mulled over the events that happened earlier that he did not realize that they have already arrived at the cafe.Chanyeol was wearing his waiter's uniform,looking impossibly hondsome despite the haggard face,always the impeccable waiter.Baek felt like all of his worries drained away as he beamed at his roommate.

After his shift,Chanyeol joined Baek in the table to study as Chen left for his part-time job.They did not waste time after ordering their food and studied right away.
Their heads bowed low over their books,reading in silence.If Yoora did not speak,Baek would not even notice her.

"Busy guys?"Yoora place the plates on the table,inviting herself to sit beside  Baek."You know I was thinking---"

Chanyeol interrupted without looking away from his notes."We're busy studying for the finals.We don't have time to go shopping with you."

Mia scoweld at her brother.
"You're so prickly late Chanyeol.I know your busy and no,I'm not going to ask you to go shopping with me,thought it's too bad,but It can't be helped." She shrugged.
"We can always go after your exams.But you derailed me,that was not I'm going to talk about.I want to have a welcome party for Baek."

"For me?"Baek looked up from his notes."You don't have to."

"No no no.We have to.Besides,it's almost our anniversary party.
Hitting two birds in one stone right?"She smirked at Baek."Don't worry it would be after your exams.So focus on your studies first.We'll party hard later."

"What about the preparations.The fees?"Baek asked.

Yoora winked."Leave it to us.And we'll do it here so we don't have to pay a lot.Atleast,the venue's free.Chanyeol should help cooking though."

Baek promised to help around the cafe once the exams were finished.

Baek heard Yoora took a sharp intake of breath.He followed her line of sight and landed on the customer who just came in and was now being ushered to his seat by one of his coworkers.

Yoora whispered beside Baek.
"Isn't he the most dreamy guy?"

The guy who entered was one of the new regular customers.He was tall,meduim built with slightly long hair and scruffy facial hair.He looked quite fashionable as well,earning glances from both male and female customers.

Chanyeol looked over to his shoulder to see what the other two had been talking about.He shrugged and went back to his notes."Stop dreaming and attend to the customer."

"Tin already got him."Yoora clicked her tongue,her mouth turned down as if dejected."Next time I'll be fast enough."

Baek met Chanyeol's eyes and exchange a knowing loom.both suppressing a smile as they stare at each other.

"And look at those lips."Yoora continued to eye the dreamy customer using the menu to cover her lips while her eyes looking over the menu to stare."It's curvy and sexy."

"What ever"Chanyeol said.

Yoora rolled her eyes at her brother and turned to Baek."What do you think Baek? Isn't he dashing?"

Baek flicked his eyes over to the customer."He's okay."

"Just okay?"Yoora sighed dramatically."Not your type?Whats your type then?"

Baek licked his dry lips as he thought for an answer."Someone clean..... I think."

"Clean?What does that mean?Yoora asked while Chanyeol peeked under his lashes ever so slightly then returned to his notes as if nothing happened.
