Roommate #CHANBAEK *COMPLETED* (ᴇᴅɪᴛɪɴɢ)

ROOMMATE

"Do you want some dinner? Chanyeol ask.

Before that should we talk about some house rules, Baekhyun suggested, to wich Chanyeol immediately agreed.

"Like what I said earlier, feel free to use anything in this house, Chanyeol thought for a while, "except that room."

Baekhyun nooded. He turned away to face the window acting not plussed.

"Just. at the university, can we pretend that we don't know each other ?" Baekhyun murmured.

Chanyeol's face clouded for a moment before he fource out a smile. "Sure."

He bid Baekhyun goodnight and went to his room.

"How about dinner? Baekhyun called out.

"I remember that I still have to finish a presentation. You eat first, the food is in the table."

Way to start your relationship with someone you were living with. Was this whole things even a good idea?

"But there'll be more rumors about us!Besides, theres nothing good that comes out of associating with my self. I'm unlike his friends."

Baekhyun knew what people talked about behind his back. He was a party animal only because and for Kai, a big flirt he could get clingy once tipsy, and a man whore. Everyone seemed to think that he jumped at anyones bed wich was totally off the mark. But it was not like he come up to them and clear his name.

Chen did not care and people usually left him to his own devices. But these things would taint someone as popular as Chanyeol who was know for his good guy image.

He stared at the food prepared at the table.They looked simply but tasted great.Chanyeol must have prepared all of that to welcome Baek.
He did not not even know that his roommate cooks or would have.And how did he reciprocate that?

"Talk about a good start,"Baekhyun sighed as he continued eating sullenly.

"So," Chen started

Even without hearing the rest of it, Baekhyun knew what his friend was dying to know how his move went.

"Lets find a seat first,I'm starving," Baekhyun said as they made a beeline for their foods.

Holding their trays on both of their hands, they scanned the cafeteria for any open tables. the place was packed during lunch time.

"Over there," Chen nuged at Baekhyun's shoulder.

Baekhyun followed the direction where Chen pointed and incidentally glanced over the next table. Sorrounded by a lot people as always, Chanyeol sat in the middle, laughing and talking with his friends. As if sensing someone looking at him, Chanyeol looked up and caught Baekhyun staring.

Baekhyun glance away and pretended to look for tables. He hope there would be open one since some of the student started leaving the cafeteria. After that akward moment last time, He still did not know how he would act around Chanyeol. To his dismay, the tables were already occupied.

"I think its better to eat out side, he grabbed his burger and drinks as he walk towards the exit, not waiting for Chen.

"What are you saying? You are unbelievable!" Chen run beside him.

Chanyeol watch as the two left the cafeteria. He slumped back on his chair, pushing his food away.

"What the hell?" Chen said after Baekhyun told him his condition to Chanyeol. I didn't know you were so cruel."

He really was cruel and unfair. And he was not proud of it.

The looked at Baekhyun with a dejected expressions.

"You failed two more exsam again. at this rate you might not be able to keep your scholarship. If you have any problem with your studies, you can approach me or any proffesors for help.

Baekhyun thanked her and went to class. While waiting for his lecture to start he read the messages on his phone. One message stood out.His bank message telling him to deposit soon since his account was nearing the maintaining balance.

He rubbed his hand on his face. He needed money and needed it fast.Plus he needed to keep his scholarship. It was one problem after another.

"Guess it's time to say goodbye,finally to the party animal me. Hellow nerd Baekhyun!

"You're going to hit the library again?"

Baekhyun nodded. He had been stayin late in the library in the past couple of days,
determined to take back the scholarship. He bid his friend goodbye and went to study while Chen went to his other class.

He made his way to a table in the corner of the library. This was his favorite place far from the librarian, far from the students. It was like having his own world in this little corner.

He studied for a while, attentively untill his head started to droop, he rubbed his tired eyes and scanned the library. His eyes fell on Chanyeol who was studying with a serious expression, oblivious to the fawning gazes coming his way.

"He's smart and good looking, how unfair is that, he thought bitterly.

Chanyeol followed Baekhyun's rules. He did not talk to him when they were at school, they acted like they did not know each other. which should have been good.

But that treatment extended even when they were at home. It seems like Chanyeol made it a point not to cross path with him at home. Ever since that night when he moved in, Baekhyun barely saw Chanyeol shadow in the house. He did not know when Chanyeol arrived because he seems to come later than Baekhyun.

"Maybe a part time job at night? Or staying at his girlfriends house?'

when they did crossed path at home, Chanyeol would just nod his head at him as a greeting and hole himself inside his room.Baekhyun would do the same.

That somehow made Baekhyun sad. But he was the one who asked for it so he should not complain.

Sometimes it was hard to understand the other guy.If he cooked too much food, he would leave some for baekhyun. Everyday it became a habbit to look for any notes left on the table. He began to look forward to them, keeping the notes on a notebook as a proof of their conversation.

Chanyeol can cooked delicious foods. He knew that much, something he would never have thought before. Just thinking about his breakfast, made Baekhyun drool.

'He got everything huh? really unfair.'

Maybe,if he was even a drop of Chanyeol's coolness, Kai would come to like him. Kai would choose him over Kyungsoo.

And his consciousness faded away.
