CHAP 49

Kimy tilted her head in confusion as she tried  to understand what Chanyeol meant,gasping when she did,her eyes darting from Chanyeol to Baek and then back again.Chanyeol only smiled while Baek pretended to be busy with his phone.

Their conversation naturally died down after that.Chanyeol excused himself and went to the restroom.
Kimy wasted  no second and began questioning Baek.

"You're living together?!You move in with him?As in as lovers?"She hissed,ducking her head low so only Baek could hear her.

Baek copied her as he kept an eye to the direction of the restroom.
"As in roommates!"

She frowned and open her mouth as if she was  not convinced and sat back on her chair."Then why you didn't mention this before?Whe be secretive?And your blush is betraying you by the way."

"Baek opened and closed his mouth.The words he wanted to say was caught in his throat.

Kimy sighed,looking more deflated than him.Don't lie.You're quite obvious with your feeling when you like someone.That's how I know about Kai before."She gasped as if she remembered something."Don't tell me it's another one-sided?
Baek...."

"....I don't know."he did not want to know if it was the same as before,then wo,he never learned at all.

"What do you plan to do with it?"

"Uhh,nothing?Proceed as usual?"

Chanyeol came back.He must have sensed the weird atmosphere as he looked between
Kimy who was reading and Baek who was busy watching people outside.But he did not say anything and sat next to Baek quitely.

Kimy's word caused Baek to feel alarmed.If what she said was true,then woudn't Chanyeol know it too?

"Chanyeol,do you have a girlfriend?Boyfriend?Lover?Or anyone you date right now?"Kimy asked out of the blue.

Baek choked on his drink and widened his his eyes at his cousin as if saying  'what the fork are you saying?'

"I'm asking because I have these amusement park tickets,"Kimy said to him pointedly,waving the tickets in between them.

"Then why don't you use it yourself?"Baek bit his lip to stop himself from speaking but it was too late as Kimy already caught on his meaning.

Kimy gave them a wry smile."I have no one to invite."She narrowed her gaze at Baek."You, don't have either.That's why I'm asking Chanyeol ."Then with a shrug,she added, "Or better yet,you go together.I don't care how you use it."

Chanyeol seemed to be considering it."How much?"

Kimy tilted her head to the side before she waved her hand infront of her in a haste."No,no. I got that for free.There's a park near my school and I guess it's their dry season at this time of the year so their employees are giving away tickets.That's how I got it."

Chanyeol smiled."Alright,l.thank you."He smiled at Baek that caught Baek by surprise because of how dazzling it was "when shoulf we go?"Chanyeol had asked Baek.

But,as it turned out,Kimy would still  be the one who gets to decide.She sent a text to Baek,
telling him when to meet.Kimy told him that they had a half-day at school after the mock exam so they decided to go to an amusement on a weekday afternoon.

Baek was confused because she was supposedly holding only two tickets.Why was she coming with them now.

Good thing,It was on the day that Chanyeol had finished the last of his makeup exams.Baek waited for his roommate after his morning shift at the cafe for them to go together.

it was too early for the rush hour that there were only A few passengers on the train.The two of them sat beside each other despite the empty space.Baek glance at Chanyeol,remembering Kimy's words about him being obvious with his feelings."I thought I was hiding it so well though,'he thought bitterly.

Given how close they were sitting ,every now and then,their shoulders would bump and their arms would brush againts the other.Still,no one thought of moving away.

Baek looked sideways,trying to decipher what was on Chanyeol's mind.He had his eyes closed though,perhaps sleeping after studying all night.Despite his schedule,he seemed to find a way to do something---anything,really- -around Baek.Wherever Baek might be,wether he was reading in the living room,lying in the floor of the storage room,or eating a snack in the kitchen.
Chanyeol would be in the background,sometimes finding random topics to talk about.

Baek might just be over thinking things and twisting them to his liking.But what if Chanyeol wanted to be around Baek?What if,maybe,Chanyeol liked him too?Then that meant Baek had a chance?

Bur also,what if Chanyeol treated everyone in that kind and caring way of his.

They arrived in front of the amusement part where they meet Kimy and others.Baek was surprise to see Kimy's friends with her and could not help but raised his eyebrows at his cousin.

After they were introduced to each other,Baek subtly grabbed Kimy and dragged her to walk along side him."Explain."

Kimy grimaced."I never thought that they had tickets to.So they agreed that we are going here together.

Baek looked at her cousin evenly."Why drag us too?"

She pursed her lips and glanced at her cousin with an apologetic look.Baek could not help but feel bad for interrogating her like this.
"I didn't really like to go with him.So I came up with the excuse that we might as well join you.Shin and Pia were happy when they heard that there were be handsome college guys joining us."

Baek abruptly stop and turned to Kimy."What did you say his name was?"He jerked his head to the direction of the only guy friend his cousin brought with her.The one who glowered at Chanyeol when Kimy greeted him.

In a small voice,Kimy answered,"Noah."

"That' Noah?"

Bael shrugged and turned back to their companions,his eyebrow twitching with what he saw."i'ts not fine,'he thought as he watched the girls surrounding Chanyeol.

Kimy's friends surrounded Chanyeol,laughing and talking with him while Chanyeol being Chanyeol,entertained them with his easy charm.Baek lookes away as he puts his  handa in his pockets,seemingly  unperturbed with all this.

"What the plan now?what are we going to do?Baek asked looking away.
