CHAPTER 48

DRACO'S POV

I wasn't happy that Y/N left, but it was for the best. I need to prepare for the death eaters arrival tonight.

I finished eating before rushing towards the room of requirement, so that no one would notice me. I paced 3 times and rushed through the door as soon as it appeared. I made my way through the piles of crap and pulled the sheet from the vanishing cabinet one last time. I trailed my hand across the surface. I could feel the dark magic dripping from it.

I didn't have long at all. I tested the cabinet one last time before pulling the cover back over it for now. There was only a few hours left.

Y/N's POV

I dashed off, leaving Draco sat alone in the great hall. When I got to my dorm I changed from my robes into a black shirt and matching black blazer. I pushed my wand into my pocket and paced back and forth my room. I knew I was capable of what I was about to do, I was still nervous. I hadn't used my powers that much and what if something went wrong ?

The hours passed and I sped walked down the corridors until I came to the one I needed. I knew they would walk this way to get to Dumbledore's office, they couldn't have been going anywhere else. I leant against the wall and pulled my wand from my pocket, just in case.

It only took about 10 minutes, until black cloaked figures started to walk down the corridor, Bellatrix guiding them. They hadn't even noticed me at the other end, still leaning up against the wall.

As they approached Bellatrix came to a halt, and her cackling got louder.

"Y/N what are you doing here ?" She teased.

"Came to see what all the commotion was about" I smirked.

"You stupid girl!" She hissed.

"Me ?" I scoffed, kicking my leg off the wall so I was stood facing them all. There wasn't many off them. Only around 6. One of them being Draco. His eyes were fixed on me and he looked absolutely horrified.

"Yes you, because now I can kill you"

"I mean you can try" I smirked.

"So naïve" She cackled.

"I wouldn't say naïve is the word" I drawled.

"Avada Kedavra!"

The green light came hurling towards me, hitting me directly in the chest. Nothing happened. I had a magical barrier up around me. Draco looked as if he was about to throw up.

"That's rather embarrassing isn't it?" I laughed, slowly walking towards them.

"What ? Why didn't it work ?" Bellatrix's cackling stopped.

"How don't you know ? I thought you would have been told." I continued to laugh.

She raised her wand, attempting to hit me with some sort of non-verbal spell. Nothing happened.

"That's not going to work" I sneered, my eyes turning black.

"Oh Merlin" I heard whispered.

She continued to hit me with whatever spell she could. I made my way down the corridor, walking as fast as I could. As soon as I was within itches of them I pushed Draco to the side, raising my hand to my mouth. Fiendfyre produced from my mouth, and went flying towards the group of death eaters. I raised my hand out in front of me, sending it permanently chasing them.

I felt like collapsing from the magical drain. Blood started to flow from my nose. I raised my shaking hand to my nose and looked down at the blood. I smiled to myself knowing it worked.

I turned around, stumbling back down the corridor, completely ignoring Draco who stood beside me in complete shock.

"What the fuck ?" Draco yelled from behind me.
