An Angel With A Samurai

Chapter 16

"Where's Milo, has anyone seen Milo!" I heard a panicked woman shout.
"Arianne is missing too" I heard another shout.
"Where's my baby" I heard another cry. 

"The children are safe". I looked at Caelan, he looked different, my heart started fluttering. I could feel him. I wanted to go to him. What's happening I thought.

"The trees are hiding them". I said trying not to think about Caelan.

Caelan stood up "We'll be back with your children shortly, everyone please calm down, Morgan has hidden them". I put my socks and boots on and stood up. I Felt so wobbly. Using so much energy with the Earth can be really draining.

Caelan noticed my wobble and took my hand. I looked at our hands and it felt so right. Like our hands were made to fit each other. I must've been staring.

"We should move Morgan" Caelan said quietly. "Yes, er yes, we should".

We walked for around 15 minutes to the place I left them.

"I can't smell them" Caelan looked worried. "I gave them my cloaking spray" I said.
I went up to the tree that I asked to protect them. I put 2 hands on the trunk and whispered "thank you for protecting these children. They are safe in my hands and your job is now complete."
The branches moved and exposed a group of children all huddled together with a young boy of around 8 years old pointing a wooden stake at me. "Ah my little príncipe guerrero". I smiled.

I then felt myself falling to the ground. And 2 strong hands catching me before I hit the floor. Everything went black.

Caelans POV

2 days ago..

We were on a routine perimeter check when we caught the smell of a vamp. They don't normally come this deep into the woods.
I sent Bobby and Vinnie to scout the East and West whilst Jax and I took the North and South.

I was greeted by 2 of the blood suckers. It didn't take long to take them down. I mind linked the others, Jax was ok and so was Vinnie. I had lost connection with Bobby. The others couldn't connect with him either. I panicked. I couldn't lose my brother.

We met back up and made our way East. He came back on the link 'I'm ok guys. Injured but ok' I howled. I was so relieved. We found him and made our way back to the house.

We shifted back to our human forms and I took a look at Bobby's arm. It was wrapped in a herby bandage. I removed the bandage and his wound was almost healed. Even our quick warewolf healing wouldn't have healed this quickly.

"What happened out there Bob? We lost connection with you?"
"I was ambushed Cae, I saw a vamp and went for him. I didn't see the other one in the tree with a silver net, I really tried to get out Cae. I broke some net off but I slipped and it got stuck in my arm. I couldn't move. The net was so heavy. I thought I was a gonna but a beautiful girl came out of nowhere and took the vamps out"

Oh goddess, he's lost his mind.

"Don't look at me like that Cae, I know what your thinking, she was real, beautiful and amazing. And she wasn't scared of me. She respected me. She wrapped my arm".
The next morning I checked on Bobby and his arm had completely healed. I drove over to the hospital with the bandage. I called my friend Dr Jeff Curtis to have him examine it. He did a few tests and couldn't figure out why it worked as well as it did. It was just coated in herbs.

Every evening at the house a large portion of the pack try to have our evening meal together. We are a fairly large pack, our strength and loyalty is a force to be reckoned with.

I have a pretty bed reputation among other packs. The rumours aren't all true. But most are. We kill rogue wolves who trespass on site and have even had to scare off a few humans.

We had finished up and the rest of the pack were leaving for their homes. I was going to my office when I heard screaming.

I ran outside and saw vamps everywhere. They were attacking my people.

I shifted quickly and started tearing into them. The warriors of the pack were by my side in seconds defending the pack.
We had procedures in place for any kind of attack. Any pack member who couldn't fight were to go into the house and into the basement which was made into a safe house.

We were being overpowered.

That's when I saw her.

An angel with a samurai in each hand. Breezing through the vamps cutting through them like a hot knife in butter. With all the screaming and growling I didn't hear Declan crying, he must've got confused where to go, the angel saved him. She had him in her arms and continued to obliterate the vamps. Clearing a path for my pack to get to safety.

When the battle finished. I noticed she didn't smell human. She didn't smell of anything.
We grouped around her When Bobby stepped forward and walked up to her. She looked so happy to see him.
'It's the girl from last night' he mind linked me. 'I told you she was real'.

'We can't shift in front of her, Bobby keep her distracted, the rest of you fall back'. I commanded. We took off through the woods and double back to the house. We put some shorts on, the females stayed behind.

We walked out to see what we were dealing with.
