We walked out of the hospital together.

This was my last chance. I begged her to stay, without actually begging.

She told me that everyone she gets close to dies or leaves. I know the feeling.
Then she left and never looked back. I felt like I should run after her, to make her stay. I need to speak to someone, this isn't right.

I was in my office later that afternoon. It was starting to get dark, I decided that we should instil a curfew until the vamp problem was taken care of.

The sun had just dropped below the horizon and I heard screaming again. I ran outside and the play centre was being ambushed.

Kids were everywhere.
Mrs Fletcher the play centre leader was trying to hold back the vamps. I shifted and went to help.
My warriors came as did the parents of the kids.

Vamps were coming from everywhere we were massively outnumbered. I was being charged at by around 10 of the leaches, I was killing them but they just kept coming.

What the fuck was going on.

I managed to do a quick check and the kids were gone, to my house I prayed.

Around 10 minutes later, I saw my angel had returned.
She looked so fierce, she was almost flying through the air.
I saw why. Bobby was injured. He couldn't get up. Vamps were after him. She was protecting him.
I kept fighting, I realised she was massively outnumbered and no matter how many she killed they kept coming, when she was fighting 2 or 3 one would swoop in and feed off Bobby. I could feel him weaken.

I fought harder then I ever have before, found an opening and ran to where Morgan and Bobby were. I had to protect them both.
We fought side by side. Side by side - just like we should be. After what felt like forever we managed to get the upper hand.

The few vamps left retreated.

She knelt to the ground and checked Bobby. He looked so weak, "Can you shift back Bobby" She spoke so quietly.
I shifted and knelt next to her.  My heart broke. Not Bobby. "He's too weak to shift". I said to her. My voice cracking.

She took off her bag and took off her boots and socks. I watched as she placed her hands under Bobby's body. She started to chant. As she was chanting a blue glow surrounded her. Then the bushes started moving and took Bobby's wolf. I went to grab him, I'm not ready to lose him. But she grabbed my arm while still chanting. the rain and breeze came next. Then a sliver of moonlight covered the bush.

Bobby came out the bush. He was ok, he was going to be ok. I could've cried. I noticed the glow around her start to weaken when I heard the cries of parents who's children were missing. This can't be happening.

"The children are safe" Morgan shouted out over the cries which made everyone instantly calm down. She looked at me. I could hear her heart fluttering under my gaze. Then I could smell her. She smelt amazing. She smelt human! Then it hit me, like a train. She's my mate!

"The trees are hiding them" she explained to me, she looked so tired. I called out to the pack "We'll be back with your children shortly, everyone please calm down, Morgan has hidden them".

I noticed her wobble so took her hand to help steady of her.
She stared at me, she stared like she was seeing me for the first time "We should move Morgan" I said quietly. "Yes, er yes, we should" she said, she looked so cute when he rambled.

We walked for around 15 minutes deep into the forest.  I should've smelled them by now.
"I can't smell them" I said a little panicked.
"I gave them my cloaking spray" she told me. she walked up to a  tree and put 2 hands on the trunk and whispered something. The branches moved and exposed a group of children all huddled together with Reuben pointing a wooden stake at us "Ah my little príncipe guerrero". She beamed at him.

I watched her and she started falling. I grabbed her before she hit the ground. Reuben helped me gather all the kids and get them home. I might have to watch out for my position in this pack with how tough Reuben was being. I smiled at him with pride while carrying Morgan to my room. I stripped her of her weapons and tucked her in. How desperate I was to lie beside her and hold her while she slept. But I needed to give her space. It's going to be a fun chat in the morning I thought.
