Artemis POV

"Damn Art you did a great job with the decorations!" Apollo said shaking my shoulder.

We were at the lake for the Christmas Eve ice skating night and, so far the whole pack was gathered. Most people were either skating or taking pictures with each other.

I was keeping a watchful eye on the pack members putting up the hot chocolate stand, it was the only thing not ready in time and even though their backs were turned I was sure they could feel my heated glare.

On the other hand, Apollo was keeping me company while Serena went to skate with Franco after Apollo gave her a pointed look upon seeing me.

The event started almost an hour ago and He still wasn't here.

I could understand if Franco and Serena weren't here either but no they came only thirty minutes late with no clue where Aaron was. Honestly, I made the barrier so everyone could enjoy the festivities, and that included him!

"Sis you're doing that face again," Apollo said pointing at the pout on my face.

I frowned flicking his finger away.

"Shut up...You know you don't have to stay and keep my company. I'm perfectly fine on my own. I happen to like looking at everyone having a good time."

"Is that right? What if I said you were keeping me company?" he said cheekily.

I rolled my eyes.

"I would say you're trying to make me feel better."

"Oh well then looks like I'm doing my job right!" He said happily.

I chuckled.

"Keyword Trying."

"As long as you try that's all that matters! Besides I just made you laugh so that counts for something in my book!" He said with a wink.

"You're so annoying! Go and bother your mate!" I said pushing his shoulder.

He quickly grabbed my hand.

"Skate with me."

"I hate skating."

"I know...So let's gooo!" He yelled excitedly as he pulled me to where we could get our skates.

I was going to make a fool out of myself, but if I fall on my ass, I'm taking Apollo with me.

We went to the side of the lake that was reserved for beginner skaters. So there were mostly little kids and their parents watching as their kids still tried to gather their footing....like me.

Here we found a familiar redhead with Raven and Hazel. Off to the side, we could see Ezra watching Athena teach the two how to skate while the sisters held onto each other for support.

"Aw, I have to get a picture of this!" Apollo said excitedly reaching for his phone.

"Don't you dare let go of me, Apollo!" I yelled grabbing his arm tighter.

He sighed.

"I'm not letting go. Chill. And stop moving, you making the camera shake." He scolded.

I huffed in frustration.

This wasn't even my idea in the first place, now he's criticizing me because I'm shaking like Bambi's first time on ice!

I was able to steady myself enough to stand up straight concentrating solely on not falling. That was until a loud voice broke my focus and I had to grab onto Apollo's arm even tighter.
