Artemis

Two hours.

It's been exactly two hours since the last bomb.
And I have to say...I'm tired of looking at these damn screens.

One hour ago one of the rogues went down and never got back up. Meanwhile, the rest of the rogues didn't even spare their fellow comrade a second glance.

Now we watched as the remaining six shakily made their way to their hideout out.

They were weak and tired. It looked as if it hurt them to run so they walked.

Honestly, I was almost annoyed that they were injured considering how long they were taking.

Now the time was one in the morning. Shaw and Dawn had passed out on the couch an hour ago and while Franco was still standing he looked like a leaf in the wind ready to fall. He had moved from the floor to now leaning against the wall. His eyes looked bloodshot and his hair was wild from racking through it.

Athena and Ezra were sitting on the floor in the corner, against the wall, facing the screens. Athena would occasionally lay her head on his shoulder and then let him rest his head on hers.

Apollo sat on the other couch in the room with Serena laying her head on his lap letting him play with her hair which seemed to be putting her to sleep.

Then there was me and Aaron.

He sat in a chair fit for an Alpha, it was big with all black cushioning. While I sat between his legs on the floor.

He had offered me to sit beside him, and while the chair could fit the two of us comfortably, I declined.

I explained how I liked sitting on the rug which was true. The rug was shaggy and soft and I liked the way my skin felt on it.

My hair began to bother me so I took it down from its tight messy bun and let it fall down on my shoulders.

"Is anyone else hungry?" Apollo asked breaking the silence.

"I could really go for some nachos," I said with a shrug.

"Sameeee!" Apollo said excitedly.

"But that sounds like a lot of work," I said with a sigh.

"So true." Apollo sighed.

"Ohhh funnel cake though! That really sounds good!" Apollo exclaimed pointing at me.

"Omg yess!" I said pointing back.

"But we suck at baking," he said deflated.

"True," I said shaking my head.

"Oh snap but you know what would really set this night off??" He asked sitting up making Serena pick her head up from his lap.

"Don't tell me you're thinking what I'm thinking, you can't be, stop it!" I exclaimed.

He nodded his head excitedly.

"Classic Cheesecake with light strawberry syrup on the side!!" We both stood up and yelled.

"Damn that would be so good right now! Would you wanna share a slice or-" Apollo began but was rudely interrupted.

"Oh, my moons sit your lactose intolerant asses down and stop naming out stuff we can't make or get!" Athena yelled at us.

We both stared at her. She was still sitting on the floor with Ezra, he was resting his head on her shoulder and playing with one of her hands in her lap.

"Rude," I said before facing Apollo again.

"Anyway, I guess we can share a slice. If we pace ourselves while eating it we should be good." I said.
