Chapter 43

Recap! (Cause it's been literally like 3 years)
The Celestial Pack are celebrating Christmas with a ball that Artemis was eager to put together! The morning of is full of laugher and presents until Artemis receives news from her wolf that she needs to reject Alpha Aaron tonight before they're heat begins. Artemis chooses to hold off on rejecting him until the end of the night but that plan is throw out the window when the two are caught under the mistletoe due to Dawn. As she begins to reject him Apollo steps in and stops her. She tries to run away but Apollo ends up confronting her outside. The twins argument creates a winter storm and Apollo makes Artemis disconnect their bond and the two separate. Athena makes Aaron find Artemis because it turns out the twins drinks were tampered with and the pack is under attack from the inside. Once Aaron finds Artemis she finally tells him about their past and how she is cursed to be the cause of his death and that is why they can never be together.(read the 2 chapters before if you can't remember all of the revealed past details). Aaron convinces Art to turn back on her bond with Apollo and as she does she realizes something's not right...

Artemis POV

"What do you mean? We can't leave. Look I'm sure everything is fine. We have to make sure your barrier holds and that means you staying here safe and calm with me." Aaron tried to reason as he stood up with me.

"No. Somethings going on and Apollo's in pain. Listen we just promised one another that we'd stay by each other's side. That means we also have a pack to protect and my family is now apart of that pack. So let me fight for it." I said poking his chest.

He smiled and nodded.

"Ok we go but don't push yourself" he said sternly.

Athena POV

Everything happened fast.

Apollo and I ran with Serena and Ezra to the armory only to smell what was happening before we saw.

The facility was ablaze. While some guards took to putting out the flames the wind from the storm only caused them to grow.

The smoke helped throw off the scents in the area but I had a few people I suspected to be around.

I told Apollo to find Ms. Nancy's scent and hold on to it. Apollo was known to have the best tracking nose.

As soon as he found the scent he took off in the direction.

We made it to a forest area where we found her but she wasn't alone. 

She had Raven. She turned to us and had a gun pressed into the girls head.

"Ms.Nancy drop the gun and give us back Raven" I said sternly.

"I don't think so. You see I've screwed up too many times with my boss but I won't tonight. The Celestial Pack will burn tonight and then the monarchy!"

"You don't need an innocent child to do that! Just give Raven back to us and you can go."

She laughed madly.

"You think I'd believe you? I know more than you think girly. About you and your cursed family." She said making me frown.

What the hell was this whacko talking about?

"This girl will make the gate open! She's close with Artemis so it with respond positively to her energy."

"It won't work. Don't so much as underestimate my sisters power."
