Apollo POV
I heard Artemis walk out of my room a while ago and I still can't take my eyes off the beautiful wolf laying on my bed. Phoebus, my wolf is pacing in my mindscape, waiting for our mate to wake up.
I lightly brushed her fur with my hand causing her to stir in her sleep. I pulled my hand back; still feeling the tingling sparks from the bond course from my hand throughout my body.
'Gosh I don't even know her name yet and she's already got me wrapped around her finger', I thought to myself as I ran my hands through my hair.
'Man, I even growled and snapped at Art', I thought as I walk to my window.
"That was my fault don't feel bad; its the bond, the overbearing need to protect our mate," Phoebus explained in our mindscape.
"I know that and I'm sure Art does too, but I'll still have to apologize to her," I said back.
I let out a sigh, the sun was fully up now. Glancing to my nightstand the clock read 9 am, it's been 4 hours and she was still asleep.
I sat back down in my chair. 'Art said she should be up in the morning, she's the best at healing, so Mate should be fine.' I thought while closing my eyes.
I must have dozed off because I woke up to a whimper. Shooting my eyes open I saw that my Mate wasn't in the bed anymore. I stood up frantically causing the chair to fall behind me. Then I heard the whimper again.
My eyes shifted to the corner of my room and there she was. In a fetal position in the corner, she must have been trying to escape but in her weakened state, she couldn't make it far.
"Hello there," I said gently as I began to walk closer to her. "Its okay no one is gonna hurt you here. Trust me. My name is Apollo. I am your mate can you feel our bond?" I finished and held out my hand for her to smell my scent more.
She cautiously moved her snout into the palm of my hand. I could instantly see her muscles relax at my touch. I stayed there for a few minutes letting her calm down.
"You are very beautiful. Do you think you can shift back so we may properly introduce ourselves?" I asked giving her a small smile.
She simply looked up at me and nodded her head.
"Great!" I exclaimed. Walking to my dresser I pulled out some clothes for her to wear. "Here you can wear this. I'll step out of the room to give you some privacy." I said to her laying the clothes out on the bed before walking out the room.
I walked out of the room and was now standing in the hallway. 'I know Art said to come to her when she woke up but I don't want to put too much stress on her yet and I want to fully meet my mate before having her meet them.' I told myself as I paced in front of my door.
I heard a few grunts and popping before the door opened again. I turned around only to have my breath taken away from me.
There she was.
I stood there stunned and took in the beauty in front of me. Her skin was light brown as if she was meant to be in the spotlight. Her full lips were a dark pink I noticed she was biting her lower lip. She had a small button nose with a gold piercing in her left nostril. Her eyes, oh Moon Goddess her eyes looked like they could see into the depths of my soul, shining hazel brown. Finally, her hair fell perfectly on her shoulders, it had loose chestnut curls that complimented her complexion perfectly. Just like the rest of her, she was perfect.
"Umm so are you just gonna stand there the whole time or are we gonna get this introduction started," She said flashing me a smile that made me take a step back.
