Home sweet home.

We finally made it back to the packhouse, and it was now about four in the afternoon. Stumbling out of the stuffy car I stretched out my tight muscles and let out a yawn.

Everyone began helping take the luggage off of the trucks and move the Phoenix pack members to their new living courters. Aaron announced that once everyone settled in he will hold a public announcement to welcome the new pack onto their land. Followed by a dinner in their grand dining hall.

I watched as Aaron left with Shawn and Dawn to where they would be staying. Aaron displayed the biggest smile while he talked with her, it made me curious as to what they could be talking about. Especially if it didn't make Shawn blow his top considering how protective he was of her.

Shaking off the thought I turned to see Ella standing shyly a little ways from the car. She was holding her small baby bag underneath her arm and her suitcase parked behind her back.

I saw her packmates walk passed her as if she was a stranger, none offered to carry her things or asked if she needed any help. Regardless she held her head high and didn't bother to give them a second glance. On the other hand, I could see her nervously playing with her fingers as she bit the corner of her lip.

Shaking my head, I walked over to the timid girl and gently placed my hand on her shoulder causing her to jump.

I let a giggle escape my lips but quickly covered my mouth once I saw the light hue of red covering her cheeks.

"Sorry if I scared you." I apologized sheepishly.

"Oh no it's fine, I was just waiting for Apollo to come back since he offered to help show me to my cabin, but something tells me he forgot about me." She confessed with a chuckle.

"Oh, darn did he run off with Serena or Athena?" I asked knowing how distracted Apollo can get.

"Umm, Athena. Right after she jumped on his back and started messing with his hair, Apollo went chasing after her. Serena not far behind." She explained laughing at the memory.

"Yeah, I would say he's not coming back for a while. He's very sensitive about his hair." I said rolling my eyes.

"But I don't mind showing you to a cabin. You'll be bunking with at least one other person from your pack though. Is that okay with you?" I asked but honestly, I could tell she wasn't okay with this.

Her nose cringed at the thought and with one glance to her stomach she let out a simple 'yes'.

Recalling how her pack members were treating her I don't think it would be the best in her condition to stay with someone that acts as if they hate her.

I began to think over some alternative options for her.

I could have her stay in one of the hospital rooms, but I feel as if I would be casting her away by doing so. Even though I would be there regularly for Mrs. Mary she needs more human interaction.

I could have her stay in the Packhouse but she would be more likely to run into her mate there and she doesn't need that stress.

Hmm, so where?

Then it hit me.

"Listen, Ella, I can tell that you don't have the best relationship with your packmates right now and I would hate to put you back in a stressful situation so I think I have the perfect cabin for you to get the care and welcome you deserve if you'll let me I would love to bring you there," I said with a bright smile.
