Third-person POV Twins (age 5)
"You know one day you two will find your soulmates and you'll love them more than anything in the world!" The twin's father told them as he sat in his big office chair.
Artemis and Apollo sat on the floor of their father's office, looking up at their father as they listened to today's lesson.
"I would never love anyone as much as I love Apollo!" Artemis exclaimed.
"Yeah and no ones taking Artemis away from me!" Apollo exclaimed wrapping his chubby arms around his sister protectively.
Their father only chuckled at the two.
"No one is gonna take you two away from each other so don't worry. Listen, I have always taught you two to look after each other but as you grow up you'll meet someone that will make you feel whole again and you'll have no choice but to let them in."
"No! Apollo already completes me daddy why do you want him to find someone else? I'm a good big sister!" Artemis whined having tears well up in her eyes.
"Don't worry Sissy I'll always be with you so don't cry! You're the best sister in the whole wide world I wouldn't trade you for anyone!" Apollo said pulling Artemis into a hug.
Their father sighed.
"Kids, you see how much mommy and I love each other?"
The twins nodded their heads.
"Whenever you see mommy your eyes sparkle and you always smile even when she's mad at you!" Artemis exclaimed.
Their father chuckled.
"Yes that's true now come here you two," He said reaching out to them.
The twins hopped onto their father's lap.
"You see when you meet your mate there is an instant pull towards them. Being with them feels like life before them was an endless dark path, but now they're the fire, the light at the end of the tunnel, calling you home. They'll come into your life and challenge you in the best ways, help motivate you, help you grow, and pull you from your comfort zone. When you are born the Moon Goddess splits your soul-" Their father said.
"She splits our souls! Tell her to give it back!" Apollo exclaimed gripping onto his father's shirt.
"Haha don't worry Sol the other half of your soul is with your Soulmate." His father explained.
"So if I find my Mate I'll find the rest of my soul?" Apollo asked curiously.
"Yup you two will complaint each other, you'll find yourself becoming a better person with them around." Their father confirmed.
"I don't know daddy it sounds like this person is trying to steal my brother away from me," Artemis said unconvinced.
Her father chuckled.
"You know I think we all have to make our hearts big enough to share our love with the people that deserve it. You think Apollo is a good brother and a good person don't you Arty?"
"Yes! Apollo is very nice and funny, but sometimes his feet stink!" Artemis said giggling to herself.
"Hey! Your feet are stinky too!" Apollo exclaimed.
"They are not! Here smell them!" Artemis yelled reaching down to take off her sock.
"Alright, you two! No need to take off your socks Arty. I can smell your stinky piggy's from up here!" Her father teased.
