Chapter 22: The Dead Come Back

We arrive at Krystal's home still quiet, and Tom looked very upset for losing his childhood friend.

"Let's get some rest. Tomorrow I'll explain my demon." Tom said.

We all sleep in the living room while Sam and Krystal share a room.

Next morning...

"Luke, Sam, Chris, Krystal, come and get your breakfast!" Tom said.

We all head to the living room ignoring Tom.

"HEY!!!" Tom said. "Get your food."

"What did you make?" I asked. "Well I woke up early to go get some stuff from the store and made some Chicken Alfredo Pasta and I also got orange and apple juice." Tom said.

"Looks like someone is a house mom." Sam said jokingly. "Ha Ha, very funny, I have to take responsibility since I'm the last adult here."

"Weren't you gonna explain your demon today?" Luke said. "Oh yeah, so whats your demon type?" I said.

"A Death Demon." Tom said.

Luke and I spit our juice at each other...

"What!?" We both said. "Their name doesn't correspond to their abilities except for one." Tom said. "What are its abilities?" I asked.

"They have all the demon abilities and they can use them whenever they want." Tom said. "That's why they're called death demons."

We all spit out our juice...

"What!?" We all said. "So what your saying is, we're gonna die pretty  quick." Sam said. "Pretty much." Tom said.

"Here's the one ability that will definitely kill us... It can bring the dead back, which means it can also bring all the demons we faced and our friends but they fight us with a mind controlling spell." Tom said.

"Great." I said.

"If you see someone that should be dead, do not engage, is that clear." Tom said. "Got it." We said.

"Now eat up, we go to find this demon, kill it, and see where we go after that." Tom said.

We finish eating and Luke and I start to track down where and who the demon is. It took us awhile to find the demon but we eventually found it.

"The demon is in a forest, it's doing some sort of ritual. Is that bad?" I said. "We got to go now!" Tom said. "Why?" "It's starting something. We need to go to it before it finds us."

We all rush out and start to fly to the forest that was 6 miles away.

As we head to the forest, we see a beam of light shoot up into the sky, making a sudden force to push us back and suddenly, fireballs rained from the sky hitting everywhere causing fire to spread.

"Its using an Apocalypse demon ability, it starting a literal Apocalypse on earth!" Tom said.

I see in shock that the fire is consuming everyone out of their homes.

"Come on, were close!" Luke said.

"Dive, Dive, Dive!" I yelled.

We all dive down to the demon and Tom speeds up to try to attack the demon.

"Reality Swap!" Tom said.

Tom switched positions with the demon now making it fall towards Tom. Tom swings but the demon quickly makes its body into titanium and Tom's sword shatters. The demon grabs Tom by the throat and starts to examine him.

"Oh, Tom, my old friend, you finally showed up. Too bad your new friends get to see you die." The demon said as it begins to choke Tom.

"Not today!" Sam said. She grabs the demon and throws him into the flames he created.
