Chapter 45: A Broken Promise

*We are back to Chris's POV*

"Here I come!!" I said as I rushed with my swords.

"Thunder Bolt!" Luke said as a bolt of thunder strucked me and launched me onto a tree. "New ability?" I asked. "Yup, and with a few more tricks, I'll stop you!" Luke said.

"Air Slices!" I said as I swung at the air, sending sharp gusts of wind towards Luke.

"Shattered Earth!" I said. Large chunks of earth rose from the ground and were floating above me. I point towards Luke, and the chunks of earth head towards him.

Before the chunks hit him, Luke summoned his sword and closed his eyes.

"Thundering Slash!!" Luke said as the small bolts of thunder surrounded his sword and sliced the chunks into dust.

"You're power grew, what did you do to get this much power?" I asked. "Azora told me to find a stone that gave me power and a new ability!" Luke said. "So John was right after all." I said.

"Well, time to see how much power you hav..." I said before Luke appeared right underneath me. Luke uppercuts me, making me fall to the ground. "That's only part of my power." Luke said.

"So is this, Shadow Hounds!" I said as I summon three shadow Hounds to attack Luke.

The Shadow Hounds jump on Luke but he managed to sliced them before they even touched him.

"Dark Heart!" I said as Luke suddenly fell to ground. "You cheating... bastard!" Luke said. "You could put it that way." I said as I put my sickle right on his throat. "What do you have to say now, Luke?" I said. "We're not done yet, Full Thunder Strike!!" Luke said as his body emitted large amounts of electricity, electrifying me.

"How did you remove Dark Heart like that?" I asked. "I have no idea!" Luke said.

"Plasma Beam!!" I said as the beam headed towards Luke. "Flame Uproar!" Luke said, blocking the plasma with the flames. "How are you doing this?!" I asked again. "Again, I had no clue I received this much power!" Luke said.

"Fine then, I know none of your new abilities can stop this, Catastrophic Explosion!!" I said as the same explosion I used on Tom, that covered 3 football fields, headed towards Luke.

"Hey idiot, look above you!" Luke said as he was floating above the explosion.

I immediately got flashbacks when Tom jumped the explosion. Luke summoned his whip and struck it at my arm, the same way Sean threw his chained sword at me. I pulled the whip and dragged Luke back to the ground.

"Luke, you've grown up!" I said. Luke stayed shocked that I said that.

"Number one step when fighting me, don't let your emotions take over." I said as I appeared from behind and slammed him to the ground.

"Frozen Touch!" I said as I froze both Luke's legs. "Listen here Chris, you may have the upper hand, but you forgot one thing about me, my emotions keep me alive!" Luke said.

"Why, emotions are a waste, why feel emotion when they bring you down. Love isn't real, happiness is fake, sadness makes you weak, anger is useless, and you are weak if you have emotions!" I said. "The only emotion that is real, is fucking pain!"

Luke melted the ice and stood up with his sword. "You'll regret those words... Corrupted Chris!" Luke said furiously.

"Time Stop!" Luke said. As time froze, Luke walked behind me but noticed something that made him stop. Luke saw my eyes moving towards him. Time unfroze and Luke stayed shocked.
