Chapter 10: John

As Sean and I rush to help Sam and Kathy, Clockwork grabbed them and threw them across the whole room almost knocking them out.

Sean leaped towards Clockwork with anger, but fails to hit him and gets himself knocked away.

"Sean!" I said. "You will pa-" I say but Clockwork grabbed me by the throat and strangled me in the air.

"What was that? Let me guess, you were going to say I have to pay." Clockwork said while mocking me. "You forgot one thing Chris, my fight doesn't belong to you, nor your friends... My fight is with John."

"Wh- Why him." I said while still being choked.

"Let me explain to you kids so you can all hear this message before you die."

"Us powerful demons target one child until they're strong enough to fight us."

"For example, ZOZO never targeted John, he targeted you Chris, and there is one powerful demon targeting each one of you kids but your demon Chris, is already dead so you have no reason to fight."

Clockwork drops me and kicks me towards the wall. My mind went blank and my body felt weak, I also realized our journey will be longer than I thought.

"You hear that kids, you all have demons that target you." Clockwork says.

Suddenly we hear a chuckle in the distance...

"So, your fight is only with me huh... Bring it." John says then charges at Clockwork.

"Well, well, well, look who's up." Clockwork said.

Max teleported us toward him to heal us and chain us down to watch the whole fight.

"Come on John, pull up a better fight than this." Clockwork mocks. "Oh yeah, "Flame Punch."

The move left a heavy hit on Clockwork and he seemed to be hurt by that.

"John, take this!" Max said while throwing his sword at him. "Thanks! Now let's settle this once and for all."

Clockwork summons his battle axe and knocks John away from him.

"Enlarge!" Clockwork said.

Clockwork grows bigger in size until he's 15 ft tall. John leaps at him and swings the sword but Clockwork punches him to the ground. We see him get all these injuries and Max doesn't let us help him.

"Max, let us go, John isn't gonna survive out there!" Sean said.

He ignores him, he looks like he getting ready to do something. As John is getting pummeled, Max teleports a girl to help him fight.

"John!" The girl said.

"Wait a minute, Max you teleported her to the fight? Why?" I said.

"One reason, while we were fighting ZOZO, she told me that she's been practicing to fight so she would be able to help John. She's learned high levels of Taijutsu and sword handling classes." "Oooh." I said.

"John, wake up, I can't keep him distracted for long." The girl said.

*Groans* "Krystal, is that y-you." John said. "Yes, now get up."

"Wait a minute, why and how are you here." John said so confused. "Doesn't matter right now, just help." "Right."

"Demon Fist." John said.

"Oh goodie, I get to kill John and his fiance, Krystal. Wait a minute, she's a Swordsmen. HOW?!" Clockwork said.

Krystal and John land a hit and kill Clockwork by slicing his head off.

Clockwork's body starts to fade and he changes tone.

"Well, my time has come, I must say one thing before I'm dead. Krystal and John, you two make a great couple."

"Thank you, Clockwork." They both said.

"Farewell kids, I give you the best of luck on the other demons, they are stronger than me." Clockwork said.

We surround him and I kneel and say, "Thank you Clockwork, for telling us the truth."

As Clockwork was fading, he said his final words, "Good Luck."

I nod in gratitude. I shed a tear knowing that Clockwork could've told us more about the other demons.

"Well now that he's gone, who's demon is next?" I ask.

"Kathy and I have the same demon. Let's go with him." Sean said. "Ok but y'all forgot, we need to train first." Luke said.

"Alright, what are we waiting for, who's ready?"

"We are!" We say while we leave Clockwork lair.

"First, let's go to John's house to cool down our demon selves." I said. "Ok, let's go to my place." John said.

We fly there and John carries Krystal on his back until we get there.

Once we get there we turn into our human selves and relax while watching movies and eating snacks.

We just relaxed after today's struggle.
