Chapter 40: An Angel With Fear

"Bring it!" I said.

Azora rose into the sky and made a cross with her hands. "Holy Speed!" Azora said. In a blink of an eye, she disappeared and reappeared in different locations around me.

"Shadow Phoenix!" I said as a shadowy Phoenix appeared from below me and targeted Azora. "Catastrophic Darkness!" I added, making everything around us into a dark void. In Azora's vision in the void, she wasn't able to see me or the Phoenix, meanwhile I could.

The Phoenix hit her, making her collapse to the ground.

"Flashbang!" I said as I ran past her, blinding her even more. "Light Of The Holy Spirit!" Azora said as she removed the blindness and the darkness. "In The Name Of The Father, the Son, And The Holy Spirit, May Your Soul Have Mercy!" Azora said while pointing her palm at me.

A beam of light was shot towards me but I was able out maneuver the light. Azora then shot more of them, making it difficult to dodge them.

"Elemental Demon: Chilling Earth!" I said as I made snow and ice form and fall onto Azora. It looked like an avalanche collapsed on her.

Azora melted all the snow and looked very furious. "That's it, these moves of yours are getting ridiculously annoying! I need to end you now!" Azora said. "I don't know what I'm doing wrong, so why am I the reason for the unbalanced forces!" I said.

"You became the new Devil, you killed demons just for fun and made your friends into demons!" Azora said. "I didn't kill those demons!" I said. "Then who did?" Azora added. "It was my corrupted side, an Archdemon made that side of me and it sometimes takes control over my body!" I said.

"And who might this Archdemon be?" Azora asked. "His name... was Jackal!" I said. Azora froze. "You killed Jackal, right?" Azora asked. "We did, but the corruption is still alive, making him still alive!" I said. "I need to inform God!" Azora said. As she was about to fly away, I blacked out.

"Chains of Despair!" I said. My chains wrapped around Azora and were being pulled back down.

"Let me go!" Azora said. "Now why would I do that, the fun has just begun!" I said smirking. "This must be the corrupted side of him." Azora said to herself. "Indeed it is, and I'm not going to let you leave until I get a fight out of you." I said. "Holy Presence!" Azora said.

I fall to my knees in pain. "What is this power?" I said. "Any demon that is near the Holy Presence's Diameter Range will feel immense pain." Azora said.

"Well it doesn't affect me anymore!" I said, standing up with no struggle. "But... how?!" Azora said frightened. "I am no ordinary demon. I am now the newest member of the the Archdemons, and I am the first to become the King Of Hell, so your little powers won't affect me as much as they affect the original Chris." I said.

I grab Azora by her throat and lift her up. "Remember this face, because it going to be the last you will see before your death." I said. "Holy Scythe!" Azora said as she cut my arms with her new weapon.

"Not bad, but try again." I said as I regenerated my arms back with the new Sickles.

Azora looked frightened, as if she never fought a demon so powerful. "Why the scared look, you said you wanted to fight me!" I said. "How did you know that, I was going to fight the Original Chris, not you." Azora said. "I can hear and see everything Chris experiences, but he can't, he doesn't even know I have new abilities or even these Sickles. What he will experience is your corpse in his arms." I said.

Azora looked even more frightened.

"We'll meet again." I said.

I wake up, notice the Sickles in my hands and Azora all frightened. "What happened?" I asked.

"Chris!!" Max and Tom both said.

Azora looked up and saw them arrive. She immediately left before they even landed on the ground. "Why did she leave?" Tom asked. "I don't know. She was excited to fight me but then she changed." I said.

"Azora! Come back! What's the matter?!" I yelled up at her. "Get away from me!" Azora said. I began to follow her and tried to reason with her.

"Why are you flying away, what happened back there?" I asked. "I'm flying away from you, your corrupted side was too much for me!" Azora said. "What did he do?" I asked again. No response.

"Chains of Despair!" I said as I wrapped them around Azora again. "Let me go!" Azora said. "No, you're going to tell me everything with the other two!" I said as I brought her back to the ground.

We landed to the ground and I removed the chains from her.

"Now, for the last time, what happened while I blacked out?" I asked. "He isn't a normal demon, he's an Archdemon, like Jackal." Azora said. "What's an Archdemon?" Tom asked. "It's basically a powerful demon." Max said in simple words. "Ohh."

"He even regenerated his arms when I sliced them off, and my Holy Presence didn't affect him at all." Azora added. "Okay, that's all I needed to know. You can leave now." I said. Azora leaves while I start walking back home.

"So are you not going to tell us anything or are we supposed to guess?" Tom asked. "All you need to know, id that I'm a danger to everyone, so leave me alone." I said. "Chris, this isn't you, is it?" Tom said. "This is the original me, I'm just saying that I'm dangerous and take Luke away, I don't want him to get hurt." I said.

"What about Jade?" Max asked. "I'll send her to my family. She can stay there until I find a way to get rid of him." I said.

"So that's your plan, putting yourself far from others." Max said. "It's the only way to keep all of you safe." I said. "Fine, I won't argue anymore." Max said. "But you better find a way to get rid of him." Max added. "I will."

I head home while Max and Tom fly above me to pick up Luke and tell him everything. I then arrive home and tell Jade why she will stay with my family.

Minutes go by and I drop off Jade to my parents and I head back home. I enter my home and sit in the middle of the living room, trying to communicate with Jackal again.

"Took you long enough." Jackal said. "How do I get rid of this corruption you gave me?" I said. "There's only one way to do it, but it comes at a cost." Jackal stated. "What's the cost?" I asked. "The blood of an angel can remove the corruption away." Jackal said.

I froze in shock... "Angel's blood can remove this corruption?" I said. "Yes, and since you're a Blood Demon, this will be simple for you, but getting the blood of an angel is difficult." Jackal stated. "The main reason it's difficult, is because the blood of an angel disappears once it's outside of the angels body."

"Does that mean I have to..." I said. "Kill an angel." Jackal finished what I said. I stayed frozen. I knew Azora wouldn't return anymore so now I was in trouble.

"That's why my corrupted self scared her away, because it knew I would find the answer to removing him." I said. "Exactly, he knows more than you and he's listening to everything you say." Jackal said.

I began to breath heavily and fast.

"Shit, my one chance to fix this is gone! Fuck you other Chris!" I said.

"No Chris, fuck you." A voice from behind said. I look behind and see myself, but more evil.

We both were using the last form we unlocked back with Alexander.

"You!" I said furious. "You ruined everything, you fucking bastard." I said. "I didn't ruin anything, you ruined yourself, by making yourself a Half Demon." Corrupted Chris said. "But I did it to help my friends." I said. "No, you damned your friends, and now I will take control over you and kill them all." Corrupted Chris said.

"Not if I could do something about you!" I said. I summoned my swords and charged at him. I swing my swords at his neck and strike, but my swords shattered on impact. I summoned them again but did something else. "Eternal Death Blades!" I said.

My swords pierce him and he began to show a bit of pain.

I wake up and noticed my phone first. "What the? Eight hours have passed?" I said in shock.

"Well at least I stalled him for a bit, and thank God." I said to myself, relieved.

*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*
