Chapter 15: The Search

Everyone gets inside Sean's truck while Max and I get in Tom's car. Tom leads the search for Kathy, and I guide him to when we saw her twitch for the 1st time.

It was when we headed to Clockwork's lair.

"Turn left here then stop right next to that tree." I said.

Tom parks near the street and Sean parks behind us.

"What are we doing here?" Sean asked. "Search for clues, Max and I saw Kathy twitch as soon as we passed this tree." I said. "Ok then."

As we were searching for clues, a van passes by slowly and once I look towards at the van, it speeds off. I didn't think of much because maybe it could have been those annoying middle aged white women ready to harass us.

"Hey Max, come here for a second!" I said. "Max telports himself to me so his lazy ass didn't run. "What's up?" He asked. "I want you to keep an eye on a van that I saw pass by, alright." I said. "Got it." Max says then teleports back to his spot.

"Hey, I found something!" Sam said.

We all rush to Sam to see what she found and we were shocked at what we saw.

"Its- it's her sword." Sean said. Sean picks it up and sees her name on the handle and starts tearing up. "Hey, Sean, don't worry theres no way Kathy would die so easily. She's alive... somewhere." Luke said.

"Don't worry? You want me not to worry when she could probably be dead out there all because I couldn't protect my little sister!?!?" Sean said, furiously angry. "Chill man, I tried to help you have some hope." Luke said.

"Hey, stop fighting we can still find her." I said. "How?!" Sean said. "Max, grab the sword and try to sense her out, once you find her teleport to her but hide just in case." I said. "Got it."

Max grabs the sword and starts searching for her. He levitates from the ground and his eyes glowed blue.

"I hope this works." Sean said. "Us too." John said.

Max kept on searching while we were waiting for him to teleport. His eyes close and he telports to her location.

*gasp* "She's alive, thank god!" Sean said gleefully.

"What the hell is this place?" Max said.

"Kid, wake up, time to eat your lunch." A calm soft voice said. "Come on kid, you need to eat or you'll die, and that's not fun now is it." The voice said.

"Who the hell is that?" Max whispered. He adjusted himself but accidentally dropped a metal board.

"Who's there?" The voice said.

Shit I didn't expect for her to hear me.

"Show yourself!" It said.

Kathy, if you can hear me, it's me Max we are gonna help you out of here. Try not to get yourself killed.

Max teleports back just in time before the demon sees him.

"Guess it was nothing." It said.

"Fine, I'll eat your food." Kathy said. "Good." The voice said.

As Max teleports in front of us, Sean grabs him by the shoulders and asks, "Is she ok?" "She's fine and I know how were gonna get there.

Max spawns an orb and buried it in the dirt under us.

"This will be the mark where I can teleport us back..." Max said but stopped and pulled out a dagger and threw it at the exact van that passed us puncturing the front tire.

Max starts running at it with his sword out... we follow him. Max ripped open the driver door like a piece of paper.

"Who the hell are you, and why are you spying on us?" Max asked while having the sword on her throat.

"M- My name is K-Karen Smithers and all of y-you are trespassing private-" *gags*

"I heard enough." Max said and pushed the sword in her throat.

"Your type doesn't belong in this world." I said. "Let's get out of here." Max said.

Sam copied Max's teleporting ability so she could help aswell.

Max and Sam teleport us to the destination where Kathy is. This time we are positioned in various areas just to attack. Max will give us the signal.

Kathy we are all here, try to get every demon in here so we can attack.

"Eveyone I need help, my shackles are hurting!" Kathy yelled.

Everyone surprisingly entered even Valkus, Sam's demon. "Change the shackles now." Valkus said.

"What is she doing here?" Sam said.

There were three henchmen with Valkus and one was removing and putting new shackles. It was technically five versus eight, not including Kathy.

Max counts down with his fingers from three to one. As soon as he hits one we jump and pull out our swords.

"NOW!" Max said.
