Chapter 14: Hidden Demon

"Kathy? What's wrong with her?" Max asked.

"I'm picking up a bad vibe coming from her. I mean isn't it strange how Sean and Kathy had the same demon. That has never happened before. Even when both of us were younger." Tom responds.

"Come to think of it, she has been acting weird. When I was in Sean's truck, I sat next to her and she twitched, saying it was just a headache." Max said.

"When we arrive to my place, don't tell anyone about this, not even Chris or Sean, got that." Tom said. "Got it."

We all arrive at Tom's house and John and Tom started ordering the sushi. Kathy twitched again but this time, I noticed it. I was a little worried and I see Tom and Max looking at her like they realized something.

*knock* *knock*

"Sushi is here!" Luke yelled.

"I'll pay for it." Tom said.

Tom opened the door, paid for the sushi and walked to the kitchen counter and placed the food there. He called Max to help him serve the food to the rest of us, I followed him.

"Max, Tom, is there something you two are hiding?" I asked. "No, why." Max responded. "I'm not stupid, a little but, I noticed her too." I said.

"You too?" Tom asked. "Yeah, and if we don't find out what that's all about, we could be in trouble." I said.

"So, what's your plan?" Max asked. "We let it slide for now, but if she attacks one of us, we chain her with your demon proof chains and deal with her after this all our demons are finished." I said. "Got it." Max said.

We join the rest of the group and grab some sushi with them.

"Who's demon is next?" Max asked. "Sam is next, then Luke, then Max, and finally Tom." "Shit, why does mine have to be the last one?"

"Hey, come get your soy sauce!" I said.

Everyone got up except for Kathy, it was a bit concerning because she loved to get sashimi.

"Hey sis, you don't want some?" Sean asked. "Oh, umm, no thanks, I'm not hungry." Kathy said. "Oh, ok then."

Everytime Max, Tom, or I think about it, she twitches more frequently than before.

"Hey Kathy, would you mind go to Tom's room? I'll meet you there." I asked. "Umm, ok."

Kathy starts to head to the room and we start heading over there aswell.

"So what's the matter?" Kathy asked.

"Well, we've been noticing that you've been twitching frequently." Max said. "Who told you?" Kathy asked, in a bit of anger.

"No one, and why are your eyes glowing red when your hair and pupils have to be white?." Tom said. "This isn't the real Kathy." Max said.

"Who are you?" I asked.

Silence entered the room...

"Well, looks like I've been caught, you guys can kill me now." Kathy said.

"Kill? Wait a minute you're the demon named..."

Before I got to finish, Kathy turned into a demon and looked like Sam's demon.

"Max teleport it out of here!" Tom said.

"Where do I send it!?" Max asked. "Far from here!"

Max teleported it far from us and as soon as we teleported it, everyone bursted through the door.

"Umm, wheres Kathy?" Sean asked. "Sean, let us explain." Tom said.

"Explain!? What are you going to explain!? That she mysteriously left without saying anything!" Sean said while furiously grabbing Tom by his shirt.

"Sean listen, that wasn't Kathy! It was Sam's demon." Max said. "What are you talking about?" Sean said confused.

"That demon was Valkus. She can take many forms, and if you've experienced past trauma she will use it against you, making you weak and vulnerable." I said.

"Wait a minute, who here has a past trauma?" I said.
"I'll start, my trauma is that I lost my girlfriend in a car accident that I could've prevented." I said.

"I lost both my parents in a fire, I wasn't able to help, even though I promised I would never leave them." Max said.

"I was almost murdered by my own father when I was 10. I was told he wanted to kill me because I caused the death of my mother when she gave birth to me." Tom said.

"I lost my little sister in an apartment building by a murderer and I felt responsible" John said.

"I was the reason my boyfriend suicide. I was never allowed to his funeral either." Sam said

"I was almost kidnapped when I was walking in the street, but I managed to escape, since my parents abandoned me." Luke said.

"I was almost shot, and my friend died in my arms while I tried to keep him alive. I managed to kill his murderer but I wasn't satisfied with that." Sean said.

"Wow, we are suffering a lot." Max said.

"Now that we know our traumas, we should know if we are in her control." I said. "Everyone get in Sean's truck, Max and Chris are coming with me." Tom said. "Alright then, let's go."
