Chapter 24: Jackal's Powers

"We're close. I can feel their aura." I said.

"Where do you think your going?" A voice said from behind. We all turn around to see Sean and ZOZO still alive.

"How are you still alive? I sliced both your heads off." I said. "You didn't cut it in time. Sean used his dark magic to make your sword weak towards us for only an hour. Four hours had passed and you still didn't notice why we both died too quick." ZOZO said.

"I thought you handled them already." Sam said. "Apparently I didn't." I said.

"Luke, Krystal, you two go on ahead and find Tom." Sam said. "We'll handle these two."

"Got it." Luke said as he ran with Krystal.

"I get Sean, and you fight ZOZO." Sam said. "No problem." I said.

ZOZO bolted at me while Sean stood still as Sam bolted at him.

I stop ZOZO and throw him into a tree and piercing his heart. "Too easy." I said. "Are you sure?" ZOZO said. ZOZO grabbed my arm and breaks it so I can let go of my sword. "Fuck!" I said.

"Let's break more bones, shall we?" ZOZO said. He throws me in the air then ground kicks me back down breaking 4 ribs again, almost killing me.

I cough blood, my body couldn't stand up, as if someone put 3 tons on my back. "You know, I could tear off your head, killing you on the spot, but that's  not fun now, is it?" ZOZO said.

"Time to show you one of my abilities as a Sun Demon." ZOZO said as he summons a tiny ball of plasma. "This amount of plasma can kill an average human. Since your half demon, we can test if you can die to this."

ZOZO slowly pushes the ball of plasma into me, causing me to be launched through the trees.

At this point my body was giving up. I couldn't move and I couldn't think straight. "S- Sam." I said with a whisper tone.

"Chris!" Sam said. Sam kicked Sean away momentarily as she ran towards me.

"Don't waste your energy on him. He will die right after you heal him." ZOZO said. Sam begins to heal me, ignoring ZOZO's words. "Come on, we're not done." Sam said.

"ZOZO, you forgot one little thing about me..." I said. "And what might that be?" ZOZO said. "I remembered how to kill you." I added

"My life flashed before my eyes right before Sam healed me and I saw how we killed you." I said.

"Realese!"

All of my anger turned into power and I can feel my abilities getting stronger, especially the one I used to kill him.

I rush toward ZOZO while my sword began to heat up. "Remember this move! This was the ability that killed you after I punched your balls!" I said as I swung my sword cutting his neck, turning him to ashes.

As ZOZO died, I felt the most painful feeling in my chest. I fall to my knees, confused on what's hurting me.

"Are you alright Chris?" Sam said. "Don't worry about me, worry about Sean." I said.

The pain kept increasing everytime Sean kept getting closer.

"This dark ability can kill the weak in an instant. It is called, 'Dark Heart.' Once I touch someone, their heart starts to get closer to a heart attack." Sean said.

"I didn't even feel you touch me, when did you start it?" I said. "When you supposedly killed me, I was able to start the ability from then." Sean said.

Sean took another step and the pain felt like a dagger getting pushed in me slowly and painfully.

Sam rushed towards Sean, grabbing him by the head and smacking him to the dirt causing the ground to shake.
