Chapter 26: Unbalanced Forces

"Where am I? What is this place?" I said.

"Welcome to the Void, what can I help you with?" A figure said. "Uhm, number one, who are you and number two, how do I get out of here?" I asked.

"My name is Cthulu, you are the second human to be able to survive my presence." Cthulu said. "Wait, THE Cthulu, I can't believe this, I'm standing near the one they call Cthulu!" I said.

"Yes, you can leave this place." Cthulu said. "What?" I said. "You asked me if you can leave this place, and I answered with a yes." Cthulu added. "Oh, but how?"

"Simple, I send you back to a specific time that you want and you fix the problem in that time. If you manage to fix it, I can send you back to the surface world." Cthulu said.

(Can I really go back and bring her back?)

"I'll take the deal and I have a place I want to go." I said. "Ok, just tell me when you're ready." Cthulu said.

10 minutes go by and Cthulu sends me to the right location at the right time.

"Ok, where is she?" I said.

A car pulls up in front of me and its her, I remember everything now, before she died.

"Get out of the car... please." I said almost crying.

"What's the matter? I thought we were going to my place." She said. "I'm happy I can finally see you again." I said bursting into tears. I rush towards her and hug her before the person that chased her comes by.

"Chris, are you ok? You look like you've seen a ghost." She said. "I have to come clean, I'm part demon because I wanted to fight for you, and to kill other demons." I said. "What? Prove it, show me your demon side." She said. "Don't freak out."

I fade into my demon form... the top of my hair goes to the color pink, my pupils turn pink, and my sword appears in my hand.

"Oh my God, you look adorable in pink!" She said. "Really, I thought it was ok." I said.

I started to see my fingers and feet fade away. "I don't have much time, Jade, stay here with my family I'll come back in the future to see if you're still alive until then, got it." I said. "I will wait for you." Jade said.

I fade back to the void where Cthulu was waiting.

"You have completed the deal and I kept a promise." Cthulu said in a weird voice. "Were you crying while listening to us." I asked. "Maybe just a little, don't blame me, I may be a powerful being but I still have feelings." Cthulu said. "My bad." I said.

"Anyways, I shall take you back to the surface world." Cthulu said.

I started floating and all of a sudden, I wake up where I died while everyone else waited for me.

"I'm up!" I said jolting up. "Agghh!" Luke said as he punched me. "You mother-!" I said but Luke and everyone else hugged me.

"How long was I dead?" I asked. "For 2 hours." Max said. "It felt only 10 minutes for me." I said.

"Wait a minute, I have to go back to my house, Jade is alive!" I said. "Who's Jade?" Tom said. "His girlfriend." Luke said. "Wait, I thought he said she died in a car accident." Max said. "I brought her back." I said.

I summoned my wings and bolted off to my family's house. As I flew at a great speed, as if I was a Military Jet, Luke and the rest were behind me trying to catch up. "If you're gonna follow me, keep up!" I said to the rest.

I make it back to family's house and I turn my demon ability off so my parents don't freak out. I knock on the door hoping Jade would open the door. The door opens, and its my older brother... I knew something was wrong because he only comes to family parties.

"Chris... it's about mom." My brother said in a depressing way. "W-what?" I said. "She's in the hospital and dad is super worried about her."

I walk in and see my father on the couch praying. "Dad, what happened to mom?" I asked. "She said she saw a bright light at the door and passed out. I picked her up and when she woke up, she was starting to become more dangerous to herself." My father said.

"Wait, where's Jade?" I asked. "She went to the hospital with mom." My brother said. "Ok, I'll go to the hospital to help her, everyone else follow me. By the way, do both of you want to go to the hospital aswell?" I said. "Sure but how will we get there?" My brother asked.

"How can I explain this without freaking you out?" I said to myself. "I am part demon, I have demon abilities, and can fly." "Liar." My brother said.

I turn into my demon form and so do the rest, turning into our corresponding colors.

"Ok, I will take a cross with us." My father said. "Don't get that near me." I said. "Okay, I won't." My father said.

"Let's head to the hospital quick!" Max said.

I grab my father's arms while Max grabs my brother's arms and we all flew to the hospital my mother was in. We enter the hospital and asking information on where my mother was located in. The guided us to the room and I saw my mother pale with fear in her eyes. Everyone was in the lobby while Max and I went in with my family.

My brother(Tyler), my father, and I walked towards my mother and felt relieved she was still ok. "Max, Can you heal her?" I asked. "Yeah, I can heal her." Max said.

As he healed my mother, I look in the corner and see Jade sleeping. I walked towards her and stood in front of her face, waiting for her to wake up. "Jade." I said. "Jaaadee...." I poke her in the forehead, causing her to wake up. Instead of getting scared, she hugged me. "You're not dead, right?" Jade said. "No, I'm not dead." I said.

"Done, she's healed." Max said. "Thanks." I said. "Mom, what was it that you saw before you passed out?" I asked. "I don't know, I felt comfort at first but then my body just collapsed." My mother said.

"Hmmm, could it have been an angel?" My father said. "How?" I said. "Well since you and your friends are demons, I suppose there are angels too." He added. "Good point."

"Demons?" My mother asked. "Oh right." I turn once more into my demon form and she was surprisingly not afraid.

As I showed my mother my demon form, Luke bursts in the room. "Uhm, sorry to interrupt but there is and angel looking for us!" Luke said. "What?" I said. "All of you stay in here, Chris, let's go." Max said. "Right behind you."

We leave the room to see the angel looking for us so we hide behind the lobby couches. "What do we do?" Luke said. "First of all, what did we do to piss off an angel?" John said.

"Where are the nine young demons?" The angel said in a soothing yet scary voice.

"I got an idea but it might kill me." Tom said. "And what is that idea?" Sean said.

"Hello, I'm one of the nine young demons, how can I help you?" Tom said. "You and the rest of them have been unbalancing the pure and evil forces, causing too much trouble, and disrupting the Yin and Yang." The angel said. "Oh, uhm, is there a way to fix that?" Tom asked nervously.

"Yes, by terminating the problem." The angel said. "I see, and could I get your name before I die in your hands." Tom asked. "My name is Azora, I am an angel that hunts down trouble-making demons and the rest of your friends can come out of hiding." Azora said.

"She didn't expect this, Pazuzu's Wrath!" John said. Azora lifted her hand and pushed John across the hallway without touching him.

"Did you say, Pazuzu?" Azora said. "Yeah, so what, are you scared?" John said.

"Not... at... all." Azora said showing a menacing grin.

"Holy Presence!"
