                              *Veronica's POV*

Cuddled up in my bed, playing Candy crush and Temple run on my phone, which I collected from Justin . He is a game freak. This two were the only ones I could collect because the rest were hard and just too bloody.

This were the only solemn games he had. And I was stuck playing it, since I can't browse, chat on social media with my friends or even call or video call.

This was the life I was living a boring life. But I can bear since I have Derek now. Actually thanks to my mom, I got to live a different life. That of humans. I from the beginning belonged here and I have to start getting use to it.

I checked the time on my phone, it read 8:19 pm . Derek should be back by now. I will go met him in thirty minutes time. I heard the horn of the car, that just clarifying that he is home.

I miss him so much.

It was finally thirty minutes time. That should be enough time for him to have rested, That is if vampires rest though.
I finally get to see Derek.

I got up from the bed, reapplied some makeup and brushed my hair. I stared at myself wearing a black button down shirt, which I found in my wardrobe. It was extremely baggy and the scent, totally different from the perfume I was using.
It was totally for Derek
There must have been a mix up during laundry.

Then I slipped on a black jeans bum short.

I tiptoed down the stairs to the parlour as directed by Vera, where I will be able to see Derek.

I stopped as I looked at him reading news papers and sitting on a black leather couch. A big flat screen TV right in front of him. I wondered if they watched TV or it was just there for fun.
And why on Earth was he reading news papers.
Maybe in case he goes to my world he would be able to know things and blend in.
That sounds reasonable. Right?

The parlour was big with paintings on the wall and a center table made of glass, right in the middle in front of him. And other things like, a Chandelier, nicely designed black and gold draperies and a rug of red and black design underneath the center table, a small shelf filled with music tapes, I could identify from afar as opera collections. I had seen a lot in Emily's house.

I moved towards him and closed his eyes from behind. He dropped the newspaper, dragged me on the couch and moved on top of me. I looked at his hand on to of mine, pinning me down. I shifted my gaze to him and looked at his eyes, which were now red in colour. He looked into my eyes and they turned to it's normal colour. Sky blue.

I must have surprised him.
Maybe he thought, I was some bad guy trying to attack him.

"Ouch." I said "Were you that surprised?" I added with a smile.

"I heard you tiptoeing. You are really noisy and I knew it was you, but I couldn't smell your scent. All I smelt was mine...I wasn't sure, then you suddenly stopped. You wasted about three minutes before closing my eyes. So I thought you were attacking me... I now know why I couldn't smell you, because you are wearing my shirt. I kept on smelling that." Derek said as he looked at me intensively. Like he was trying to memorize every inch of my face.

"I found it in my wardrobe. I didn't know it was yours." I said.

"I missed you so much." Derek said as he left my hands and cupped my face in his hands.

"I missed you too." I said as I looked at him move his face nearer to mine and kissed me. Just a flick of his lips on mine, made my whole hormones run wide.

"Cherry, I like it." Derek said with a smile and kissed me again. This time more firmly.

Our eyes trusted into each other. It looks like he was asking me for permission to continue.
