*Veronica's POV *

The sun pierced through the thick curtains and managed to reflect on my face. I opened my eyes slowly, until I was able to adjust to its hot beams. I reached out to the curtains and closed it quickly, ensuring no ray was able to sneak their way in.

I tried to get up to use the toilet quickly, before I peeded on the bed. But a firm arm around my waist was stopping me. I looked towards my still sleeping mate. I memorised his calm facial expression while at sleep. He looked so peaceful and harmless, like he couldn't even kill a fly.

I looked down to his arm, draping possessively around my waist. Then a sudden rush and I remembered I was about to pee on the bed. I tried to pull his arm away, but he only tighted his grip.

"Derek, I need to go..." I said shyly.

"Go where?" He questioned. His early morning voice turning me on already. It was so hoarse and croaky, yet it manages to send a tingle down my spine.

"I need to pee." I answered and quickly used my strength to throw his hand off my waist. I was sure the force was going to land him a slap on the face.

Perfect morning.

Good morning lexis. I chirped, smiling widely.

She didn't reply, she just rolled her eyes and blocked me off.

What's with the attitude.

~She is just being so childish.~
Riona scoffed.

What have gotten into you two.

Once again, no response.

I got back to Derek, after doing the necessary. Which consists of brushing my teeth, washing my face, applying my facial cream and brushing my hair.
Most especially emptying my bowel.
"Good morning, my beloved." Derek said as he pecked me, immediately I got  back on the bed.

"Good morning, my lord." I blushed.

I immediately remembered the message my mother had sent me to give him. I tensed up immediately and he immediately noticed.

"What's wrong?" He questioned raising a brow.

"Nothing." I lied.

"The truth Veronica." He said in an authoritative tone. I really didn't like it when he used it on be, well except on bed. It completely turns me one...scratch those thoughts. Back to serious business.

"Okay...you see I couldn't come out for a while, because I was stuck in my new personality mind world. Riona's world. It took me some time to get used to it and them, I was finally able to see mother again. She helped me get our and she told me somethings..." I paused.

"Okay, continue." Derek pushed further.

"It's about you Derek. It's about you being the last dragon rider..." Derek's eyes immediately darken, like he was resisting the thoughts.

"Just stop." He snirred. His eyes turning into a darker shade of red.

"What's your problem? What are you so afraid of?" I shouted at him, and I myself was shocked why my body was bent on angering him more.

"I'm not scared of anything, Veronica. Just let me be." He said as he moved to the edge of the bed, about to get up and walk away.

I rushed towards him, and yanked his hand to me, turning his whole body to me. I looked deep into his eyes and I saw fear. This amount of fear, I have never seen in him before. The only fear I usual see in his eyes is the fear of the unknown, and right now, in his eyes, this was something much more deeper.
