(Veronica's POV)
I sat on a metal chair, with a strong plastic material above my head, which was supported by iron rods.
I stared at companies and workers, working hard to earn money. I shifted my gaze to a grocery store where I once worked and got fired after a month, all because of an annoying bastard. That even after thousands of years I will never forget.
He came in, bought some things, and came to the counter stand where I worked as a cashier. I calculated the price of goods and he started blabbing that it was not correct and I wanted to cheat him.
But I didn't have such intentions. I later found out after I had been fired that the calculator had been malfunctioning. He looked pretty rich and I wondered was he needed a little change. Annoying right?
I sat at the bus stop waiting for the bus back home since today had been a total waste of time, energy, and money. Wish I had never come.
The bus finally came, after hours of waiting. People rushed in.
I stood up from the chair and picked up my handbag from the chair and the worst thing happened.I saw the annoying bastard and worst my bag had hit his phone and made it fall to the ground.
"Oh my, sorry... Very sorry," I said as I bent to pick up his phone from the ground. It seemed perfectly fine but there was a little crack on the screen guide. Maybe that wasn't perfectly fine, but still...
"Oh, thank God," I said in my thoughts as I gave out a sigh of relief.
I slipped the phone into his hand. Not ready to talk much with him and also to catch up with the almost-leaving bus. I adjusted my handbag on my shoulder and moved to enter the bus.A hand from behind with a cold and chilling touch, held me back. I looked at the bus getting filled by the last person and drove off, leaving only smoke for me to inhale.
I turned to check who it was, it was the annoying bastard. I looked down to my arm on which he held me firmly.
"Come on. I just lost my bus!" I said rudely.
"Who cares." He said with a cool and smooth voice. That tone sent chills down my spine.
"I care, okay. Now let go of my arm." I said as I pulled my hand off his grip.
"You fell my phone down and just said sorry. Like just sorry. Does that change anything!." He said as he flipped his phone up and down in his hand, systematically.
Damn, I wish it had fallen."So what should I do...... Bow down and kiss your feet .....!!" I sprouted out.
Wrong move darling.
My mind mocked."You are just shit. I wonder why I even talked to you" He said as he looked into my eyes.
"I am not shit, I am even more important than you are. So if you are done please excuse me." I said
"Nobody dares to walk out on me," He said as he held my arm, once more.
"Who do you think you are? A god or what?" I said angrily and pulled my hand off his grip again. He held my arm again and this time tightly which was extremely painful.
"Stop letting go of me," I said in pain.
"Why should I ?" He asked with a one-sided smile, across his face.
"Because you are hurting me," I said
"That's the point. Now apologize properly.....Now!" He commanded.
I regretted saying this, I was in so much pain, having a huge man pressing my arm. I could see it turn red.
"Fine. I am very sorry, extremely sorry. Please let go of my arm...... please." I said as I looked at his electric blue eyes and then down to my hurting arm."Good, next time stop feeling too big.
Cause you are nothing but a downgraded idiot." He said as he pushed me and I landed on my ass."Ouch..." I said as I watched him leave...
