*Derek's POV*

I laid down on my bed, as different thoughts ran through my brain. I felt helpless, helpless at the already destined future.

*Flash back*

"Are you sure you don't want to just live as planned by the gods, knowing will just ruin the enjoyable present and there is a five or maybe ten percent chance of you changing it completely. You may just utter some things."

"Yes, I want to know." I said confidently.

"You see, lexis, Veronica's vampire side isn't just vampire, but a mixture of vampire and witch." She said.

"What? How is that possible? Veronica's mother is human, pure human." I said in confusion.

"Lexis will get stronger, until she controls Veronica fully." She said.

"You are totally wrong. Irene , was her name. She is also half human and witch, but the mix breeding was much allowed, than ours which is forbidden, even sealed with a curse, an unbreakable one." She said.

"What curse? What are you talking about?" I asked getting more anxious.

"Little by little, I will tell you all. Now back to Veronica's mother, Irene. She was from the strongest witch coven, so also her sister, Vivian. Her mother fell in love with a human and placed a non ageing spell on him, so they can be together. Irene grew up in both sides, witch realm and human realm, but mostly Hunan realm, since some witches were still against her and her sister, she was a twin, although not identical.

I was opportune to be trained by the greatest coven and so I became friends with Irene and Vivian. We three were the best among our peers, but Irene was more adventurous, fearless and brave. So she wondered into the vampire's realm. We weren't enemies and also not friends, just had a mutual relationship. Which mostly depends on which vampire sees you first."

"What happened next? If you were friends with Irene, why didn't you stop her before she made all this mistakes?" I asked getting a little bit annoyed by the whole situation.

"The first vampire she met was the former emperor. Then all vampires clan were one, all united before it broke away into bits. He tricked her and her sister. Vivian, in the sense to block her sister's thinking, when made to sign a contract of being his maid. Vivian was already deeply in love with him at first sight, and so was he. But was intrigued by Irene's bravery.

The magic wore out but Irene still loved him and served him. I tried convincing her but she didn't listen. She was one stubborn friend. Vivian saw that the emperor was starting to like Irene, so she made a love poison, that the first person he sees after drinking it will he love forever to no extent. And unfortunately Irene was the first person. That night he mated with her and marked her his and even crowned her his empress. But that wasn't the main cause of the whole matter." She said.

"What caused it."

"Vivian was jealous, too jealous. She knew that the emperor's adviser, Sebastian wanted power and together they will get what they each wanted."

"It was all still a secret, until Sebastian told everyone including the witches and vampire council. And by then Irene was pregnant for Veronica. She served her punishment. It was buried for a while. They both worked hard for the tears of the gods to bind her vampire self away. The child in was a mixture of vampire, witch and human.

Then it all started. Sebastian told the whole clan once more about the emperor's forbidden act and everyone was against it. They killed him and Irene pursued and finally killed. But Veronica was still hidden by Vivian, she wanted to end get with her own hands. When she decided to fulfill the remaining part of the deal, it was too late. The gods already agreed to a conclusion."
