On the plane, Judith clutched onto her uniform in fear as she remembered the last time they flew over to Normandy. The shots that riddled the planes and tore their men up before they reached the ground. With a rough inhale, her eyes squeezed shut as the rumbling engines vibrated the whole entire aircraft. Beside her, Joe Liebgott placed his large hand over one of hers and offered her a smile as she peeked over to him. Over from her was Bill who watched her with sad eyes as he knew exactly why she was so nervous at that moment.

Any second now they could be shot down by the Germans as they were flying over Holland which was infested with them. Any second they could plummet to their deaths or be shot whilst falling. That day, September 17th, they were dropping from a low height to avoid being spotted.

When the time came they were told to stand and hook up, preform equipment checks before giving the sound off and then the green light signalled. One after the other they all jumped out, Liebgott gave Judith a light arm squeeze before she jumped.

The ground came upon her quicker than she anticipated but she was prepared, instantly getting rid of the chute and holding her gun in her hand before helping out a replacement who was struggling. Not far from her was Joyce who was making sure all her medic equipment was in her satchel before smiling to the other woman with a nod of her head. All the Platoons were mixed together on the field currently but it was no matter as they quickly found themselves in their respected platoons.

Monique hit Don on the head after he ragged her toward their platoon causing a little fight between them, only to be split up by Bill who told them to behave like soldiers. With one last side eye Monique hit Don over the head again before laughing, until he hit her right back laughing too as he walked ahead of her.

After a small bit of walking they had all gathered in a ditch beside a road waiting for a command on what they were to do next.

Joyce sat comfortably next to Eugene as they awaited orders to come down the line of men so they knew what they were doing.

"This is agony, my legs hurt." Joyce spoke, stretching out her leg.

"Get used to it Chere, might be a little while till we move." Roe said as he watched up the line.

"I wonder what the hold up is."

"I have no clue."

"Reckon it's Germans ?" Joyce asked with a worried tone.

"It could be, sadly. We did jump into an occupied country after all." Roe told her honestly.

"I know, I just wish it wasn't fighting all the goddamn time... you know ? It gets tiring seeing all the blood and death." Joyce sighed.

"It does, but I guess its what we signed up for." Roe shrugged.

"Hey, you know what the hold up is ?" John Martin asked as he crouched behind them.

"No clue Johnny, I'm sure we will get told soon right ?" Joyce asked with hope.

"Yeah, I'm sure. Just sit tight." John smiled before passing them to try and get word.

Hoobler and Cobb ran down the line of men back to first squad, squashing toes as they did earning complaints from the other men in the company. Hoobler came to a stop in front of Eileen holding bottles of booze as well as Cobb, her eyes flickered to Bull then to the recruitments like Hashey and Garcia.

Upon making the wise decision to ignore them and their inappropriate decision to be drinking whilst on an operation, she focussed on Bull. The tall man was currently focussing on anything but them. Then a soldier crouched in front of Bull.
