"Ma, Liberty is barking at the door !" Judith yelled from where she sat with a mug of coffee in her hands.

Judith lived in a nice little neighbourhood with her parents and a golden labrador called Liberty. She had an older brother who was currently training for the war, his name was George Moore and he is two years older than her. Currently Judith was preparing herself mentally to leave the safety of her house and Travel to Fort Winchester in Virginia. It would be a long ride to the fort and she would be on her own the whole travel to the Fort but she couldn't deny the fact she was feeling in some way excited to meet the other women she would be training side by side with. Truth be told, the women who were chosen and accepted the offer were extremely brave to Judith; it was something she admired in the women that she hadn't even met yet.

For Judith, she had only accepted the offer and she adored her brother and hoped to be set in the same fight as him in the same country. Whilst he was older, protecting him is all the woman wanted to do. Back when the two were in school he often got into scuffs and she had been there multiple times to teach the other guys a lesson. Judith Moore may have been small but she made a statement with her deadly stares and her quick maneuvering. So when that letter came to her house adressed to her there was no doubt in her mind when it came to accepting it.

It had been harder for her parents to come to terms with the news that their girl was headed out to train as a paratrooper to drop behind enemy lines as a secret experiment on whether women belonged on the front lines. In all aspects they were so proud of their little girl for wanting to set a new perspective on women and they wanted to support her, but the thought of potentially losing both their children frightened them to their cores.

"It's your father, she must know its him coming in." Elaine replied to her daughter with a warm smile before petting the labradors soft fur.

Liberty barking stopped as she looked up with soft eyes to the elderly woman before she retreated to sit by Judiths feet in the kitchen. David opened the door with his work bag in hand before he kissed his wife on the cheek with a soft smile.

"Is she ready ?" David asked Elaine.

"I'm pretty sure she is." Elaine looked at him with a sad smile, letting her daughter go was so hard for the woman.

Judith petted Liberty before standing to her feet and stretching. Sadly, she was fully aware how her parents were going to struggle with coping the fact that their daughter was now leaving to also train for the army. So with sad eyes she hugged them both and held them close before promising to write to them as often as she could whilst at the fort and whilst in the war. Then they drove her to the train station, where she bid them a farewell for now. Saying goodbye pained her as it meant bye permanently and the girl was dedicated on coming home alive.
