"Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much." – Oscar Wilde
♣♣♣
When Judiths train had arrived in Winchester she stepped of with a bright smile carrying a luggage case which was filled with little things she may need during her training, a few glances were thrown her way by fellow passengers as not many people did travel into Winchester except for some military personel. Once her feet were on the platform her eyes instantly started scanning for a guy with dark hair. This was easier said than done since there were a few guys with dark hair there, but one approached her with a soft smile on his face and he held out his hand toward her.
"My name is Eric Wilde, I am here to drive you to your destination ma'am." His voice was soft which Judith truly didnt expect. She took his hand in her much smaller one and gently shook it with a smile.
"Judith Moore, you probably already know that. Lets get going." The woman took in a deep breath in before he led her to the car they would be driving.
Eric was dressed in his civvies, probably to avoid any unwanted attention from the civillians which was smart when Judith thought about it more. During the journey to the fort the car was silent, but it was a more peaceful silence. Neither wanted to break, neither could break it. Both of them didn't know how to. As much as Judith was excited, she was nervous as hell. Back home she wasn't much of a big talker and found it hard to communicate. Her hands sat in her lap and she fiddled with her fingers until the vehicle came to a halt.
The fort was out the front of the car, the two had to await entry past the guards. Once the guards stepped aside and let the vehicle pass they slowly rolled through the fort where women were in their uniforms and following each other and men. Slowly, it came to a stop outside a building where Eric hopped out the car before running around to open her door too.
Both walked inside, he led her to an office where a man sat at his desk. Judith assumed that was the Colonel put in charge of the base and would lead the operation. He shuffled some papers before his eyes gazed up to the woman before him who was eyeing him with a sparkle in her hazel eyes. A cough blurted from his lips before he shuffled to sit upright in his seat as he picked up a piece of paper.
"Private Moore, welcome to Fort Winchester. You are here due to being one of the few selected by the government and Army Officials. I am Colonel Greene and I am in charge of your training here. You are training to become a paratrooper correct ?" He spoke as he looked up from the paper to study her face.
"Yessir that's correct." Judiths words were smooth as her voice filled the room. Colonel Greene nodded before sipping his coffee.
"I am pleased to have you on this operation Private Moore. This here is Lieutenant Kurn, he will guide you to your barracks where you will stay for the months to come during your training soldier. I wish you luck. You are dismissed." Colonel Greenes voice sounded before a man stepped toward Judith.
