"Ok I would like you to make a friend, go for sleepovers or bring him over. Go to the movies with your friend or even find yourself a girlfriend. Have fun and before the day ends when you get home, go and see your sister. Tell her about your day and ask her about hers. Buy her a present and some teddy bears. Buy her a journal so she can write her thoughts. Or you can buy a co-owned journal where you can both write your thoughts and read together. That's how you can help her overcome this painful period. You might think being stuck with her is helpful but it's not."

Gulf nodded in understanding. However it was not going to be easy. They had literally spent their lives stuck together and it felt like they were being separated. As if she read his mind she continued,

"I know it's not going to be easy but you know what can help?"

Gulf looked up expectantly,

"Video calling her when you miss her. Let her call you when she misses you. That's all you can do for her if you really want them to get better."

They dismissed Gulf and the adults talked some more on dependency and how it was borderline obsession which was not healthy between siblings. The result was usually bad with recent cases tracing the end to murders. That woke up the parents and they promised to start being responsible for their kids.

They stayed at the hospital the rest of Friday and and Saturday morning, they all left the hospital. They spent their weekend digesting and meditating on what the doctor said.

They cleared sharp objects from Faffy's room and Gulf's room too. Gulf tried to give Faffy some space but he found himself being in Faffy's room just watching her sleep.

Monday morning, Gulf went to school and as he was going in, he saw Mew being dropped off by a fancy car and he got out with some clutches. He started walking slowly, one of his leg lifted up. Gulf stopped walking and waited. Mew saw him but he looked away and pretended to not have seen him. Gulf followed him and went to walk next to him.

"Are you healed? Are you supposed to be back? Who dropped you off?" He fired questions nonstop but Mew still ignored him and continued to walk with his three legs.

Gulf went and stood in front of Mew to stop him from walking a bit frustrated.

"Why are you ignoring me? I'm talking to you. Can't you see how concerned I am?"

"Lies." Mew muttered balancing himself on the wooden sticks under his arms. Please move out of the way."

"I'm sorry I didn't keep my promise." Gulf knew his fault.

"Of course you are." Mew replied sidestepping Gulf.

"Why are you being like this? I'm trying to make a friend here."

"I don't need a friend like you."

"Ok, well. I'll go look for another person to befriend. I thought you were going to be my first since we have history but I guess clearly not."

He started walking away and Mew panicked. He wanted to grab Gulf's hand so bad to stop him from going and for a minute he forgot about his injured ankle and stepped on it.

He fell down with a yelp and as soon as he did and Gulf was there by his side asking him if he was ok.

"Why would you do that? Do you even want to get better?"

"Please don't walk away from me." He gently pleaded with a shaky voice and Gulf was taken aback by the sudden change of mood.

"I thought you didn't want to talk to me."

"You're supposed to apologize first for making me wait for you. You're supposed to apologize for lying to me."

"I just did though."

Mew looked at him with an aggressive glare,

"Ok, I'm sorry but my sister needed me that night."

"And I needed you too."

Gulf looked up again surprised by Mew's choice of words and the emotions wrapped around them.

"I waited for you most of the night and I couldn't call you because I didn't have your number. I was looking forward to seeing you again but you didn't show up."

"I'm sorry." He said now seeing how affected Mew was. "I'll make it up to you."

"How?"

"Let's get up first. Don't do that again Mew. You're still a patient and I'm really worried because you came back so soon."

"How will you make it up to me?" Mew asked again as if he didn't listen to Gulf scolding him for being careless.

"How do you want me to?" Gulf asked.

"Sleep with me tonight."
