FEUD: MewGulf

Chapter 21

One of the detective entered the Investigation room with a laptop and took off the cuffs from his hands.

"We have a video of you charging at Manny and hitting him. His family said he broke his nose and he's not doing well."

Gulf chuckled and the detective was offended.

"Do you think it's funny? You're about to go to jail because you hit someone innocent."

Innocent? Gulf scoffed and looked away.

"Are you pleading the fifth?"

Gulf still kept quiet.

"Even if you keep quiet," he turned the laptop around and a video of Gulf hitting Manny came up.

Gulf watched the video and he realized they had chosen a video which blurred Faffy's reaction. It only showed Manny getting out of the car and Gulf hitting him. He couldn't argue.

He still kept quiet.

Meanwhile at Gulf's house, Phin and Sert were discussing their way forward with the family.

"You can go to the station tomorrow and be with him. He must've been flustered by the sudden turn of events. We'll request for an arrest warrant we have so much evidence against Manny so you don't need a worry. We only need his DNA to compare with the sample found on the medical report." Sert explained.

"We also have the medical report for Mew from a year ago. We only need his statement. Mew's case is equally serious because the abuse happened over a long period of time and it's hard to dismiss as nothing with the medical report and pictures."

"Oh," the mother remembered something, "Gulf said Mew came to school with new bruises after a year of healing."

"It's not coincidence that his brother returned home and he has new bruises and wounds."

Sert and Phin left right after figuring their next plans.

At Mew's house, the father woke up first from the momentary shock and went to Mew. He took Mew's wrist off his face and he sighed in relief. It was not Mew's hand bleeding but his nose. He had tried to wipe the blood off that's why his face was bloody. He inspected the scene some more and realized the blood was too much for a nose bleed. Just how long did the nose bleed?

"Call an ambulance." He panicked realizing something was so wrong. Mew's nose bleed, his blue lips and his pale skin, everything was wrong. He turned Mew's head which had been staring at the ceiling and he was surprised when more blood started coming out. This time it was gushing out of the nose as if it had been piling in his nose.

"Get me a towel," he screamed wondering what was going on. He turned to get the towel and he saw Manny lazily standing by the door, hands in his pockets looking bored outta his mind. He felt disappointed but he focused more on this sick boy infront of him.

The ambulance arrived after a while and took Mew to the hospital, the father accompanying him in the back of the ambulance. The medics asked how long he was bleeding and the father estimated an hour.

They contacted the hospital before hand because they had a feeling he might expire due to loss of blood. It didn't help that the blood was coming from his head.

They did what they could to make him hold on. As soo as they arrived to the hospital, the doctors took an MRI and they identified the source of blood.

They approached the waiting father pacing up and down,

"Mew's father?"

"Yes,"

"He needs a surgery right away. Did he get in an accident recently?"

"He fell on the stairs a few weeks ago."

"The MRI shows that he might've cracked his skull but he recently received another blow on the same spot that widened the crack that's why he is bleeding so much. We need to stop the bleeding and make sure blood does not enter his brain otherwise it might cause some serious problems."

"Get the best medical team and do everything you can to save him. If he needs to fly out of the country ASAP let me know I can arrange it. Anything to save him."

"He doesn't have enough time to be transferred. Besides, we do have best neurologist doctors in here. We'll do the very best."

The father thanked the doctor and kept on waiting. The rest of the family arrived just after Mew was taken in the Operation Room.

The mother came in first and he glared at her, "you said you talked to him, how come you didn't notice something was wrong? Had I not asked for him our son would've died because if your carelessness." He scolded.

It was in that moment that Manny walked in. And as soon as the father saw Manny he slapped him again. This time more painful than the last.

"If he dies that's on you. I'm not letting this one go so brace yourself. I don't have a murderer for a son."

If only he knew,

He had a rapist for a son.

The following morning, a call came to Mew's mother from the station.

"I see," she answered unfazed by the news that Gulf's family was carrying out an investigation on Manny.

She was ready for this and was prepared too. She sent some documents and a recording to the detective.

That same morning, Gulf's parents woke up early and headed to the station. Gulf had slept in a cell and when the parents arrived at the station, he was moved to the investigation room. They sat there reconciling after their son spent the night away from home. They let him know how Sert and Phin were working hard on getting an arrest warrant for Manny since they had enough evidence.

They didn't expect it when one of the detective from yesterday came in with a proud face. He sat opposite the three and placed some medical reports and some photos.

"What's this?" Gulf's father asked seeing Mew's medical report and a photo; in it Mew and Gulf and Manny were captured.

Gulf recognized the picture from yesterday when Manny came to get Mew.

What were they playing now?

"Another sentence has been added on top of assault. We are also charging you with physical abuse on Mew. That's his recent medical report and the pictures prove how you attacked Mew's brother when he tried to save Mew from you."

"What?" Gulf's parents asked at the same time.

"Does Mew know all this? I would like to talk to him." Gulf spoke to the detective for the first time since he arrived at the station.

The detective placed a recorder in front of them and pressed play.

Mew's Mother: But you still love your family don't you?

Mew: Yes I do

It was a conversation between Mew and his mother. It went on.

Mew's mother : And your brother too?

Mew: Yes I love him So much because he comes first.

Mew's mother : How about your friend? Do you still love him after what he did to your brother?

Mew: I don't care what happens to him.

The recording ended and Gulf realized then,

Mew had abandoned him.
