Dedicated to everyone in a dark place.
"I want you around. I need you around. Remember you're my first in everything. They say first love is the deepest that alone is enough should tell you how much I need you."
Mew softly said, "Everything that has happened to me with my family sucks. It really sucks but It was about time it happened. They're always like that. They lie and they're always deceiving me and keeping in the dark. I could live with that, I've already accepted that but if you don't want me too then I have no reason to live Gulf. There has to be atleast one person on my side." He finished with a whine.
"And I'm here by your side."
"You're not here though."
"I'll be. Mew, Faffy wants to talk to you."
Mew didn't have time to reply when Faffy was saying, "Hello p'"
"Hey Faffy." He lazily responded.
"I think p'Gulf doesn't understand where you are or what you're feeling right now. I've been there and its such a bad and dark place to be. It feels like you are stranded and there's no way out. No one understands what you're feeling and you feel the need to stop being in pain. You just wish to disappear like the fog and seize to exist."
Mew started crying silently. Faffy knew what he was going through.
"But p' there's always light at the end of the tunnel. It feels like an endless cold, wet dark night but it's not always night time. Morning will come with a bright day and a very beautiful sunrise you ought to witness it.
You have to feel the warm sun on your face and you know what p'? You'll feel like a conquerer. You'll feel proud of having survived it all. That you held on and kept on going even when you felt the need to end it.
That even when there was no way, you made your own way and even if it wasn't smooth, it led you to a beautiful day."
Mew started sobbing.
"It's ok to cry it out P'. In life there's a time for everything. A time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to cry, and a time to laugh. Right now you're breaking down and you're crying and I promise you, P'Gulf and I will be with you every step of the way as you build yourself up and find happiness and laughter."
Faffy was reciting everything Gulf had told her that time she was in a bad place. She had believed her brother. He was his one and only brother and she was glad to have listened.
"I know and I understand and you know what p'? I'm here for you. P'Gulf is here for you. We're going to make it right so p' should not end it right now."
It went on.
Faffy kept on consoling Mew and that bought Gulf some more time. He arrived at Mew's house about 15 minutes later and as soon as he went in the house Aunty was stopping him.
"Did he call you to come? Please tell him I'm sorry. Tell him to give me some time to explain why I hid the fact that I'm his mother."
Gulf took a step back taken aback by the confession. "Wait a minute, his what? You're his what?"
"He didn't tell you anything?"
"You said you're his what?" Gulf repeated confused out of his mind.
"I'm his mother."
Gulf snorted his eyes full of judgement. "What have you guys done to Mew?"
The lady tried to convince Gulf but it was in that moment that Gulf made up his mind.
"I'm taking him away. Everyone in this house is toxic and so evil. How could you have watched your son go through hell and not say anything?" He shook his head, "You're just the worst."
The woman was left astounded by Gulf's words. She took her phone and dialed a number.
Gulf's heart dropped for Mew. What exactly were they doing to that innocent soul.
He went in Mew's room and he screamed when he saw Mew sitting on the chair, his phone on his desk and Faffy still talking. Next to the phone, a knife and a plate with fruits. He stepped in the room and saw Mew's wrist untouched. So where was the blood coming from?
He came to stand next to Mew and saw the inside of his hand red.
"You came?" Mew asked unbothered.
"What have you done to yourself?" Gulf's hands started shaking not knowing where to touch first.
He went to the bathroom and got a towel and wrapped his hand but he didn't miss the puddle on the floor.
"How are you feeling?" He asked placing his hand on Mew's forehead and felt the fever.
Mew had lost lots of blood. From the nosebleed earlier and now this. Mew looked more pale than usual. Gulf went on the phone and called an ambulance.
He took Mew from the table and sat down on the bed. He sat in front of Mew and looked at him with eyes so focused, eyes convinced.
"I'm getting you out of this place." He declared.
Mew smiled.
"I'm not leaving you here all by yourself."
"But,"
"I'll die if I don't come with you today. We'll go to the hospital first and we'll go home from there.
Home.
That word was not comforting for Mew. To him home was hell. It was a place where you faced all the problems in the world.
However when he looked at Gulf, he couldn't help but feel like this home would be so much different.
