Gulf got at the hospital a while later and saw the police officer standing with Mew's driver. He wondered what the man was doing here when Mew was hurt back at the house.

He approached the driver to ask him if he knew Because he knew Mew only had Uncle and Aunty since his parents were not around.

"Excuse me Uncle ,"

"Oh hi Gulf," The driver recognized the boy.

"I'm coming from your house and Mew got hurt."

"What happened?" The man asked shocked by the news.

"He fell down the stairs." Gulf said as he tried hard not to chock on tears.

The police officer who had been there watching wondered if Gulf knew that Mew's people were somehow involved in his sister's case. He wondered if there was foul play in Mew's falling but dismissed the thought when he saw Gulf's face puffed up with crying.

"I couldn't stay with him because my sister also got hurt in an accident."

Mr Granh looked back at Gulf's parents and looked at Gulf.

"I'm so sorry. Your sister jumped in front of my car and before I knew it she was already on the ground."

"Not again." Gulf whispered feeling so bad. He felt so guilty. If only he had been with Faffy then she would t have tried to kill herself again.

The officer knew Faffy's history but he couldn't help but feel like there was something huge going on something he didn't know of.

Sert called him saying he didn't find anything on Granh which meant this was his first unintentional offense or accident. However he mentioned that the man had visited the police station a number of times but there was no detail to why he did. There was one theory to this case, Aaron has a son, whom the school bullies saw as Mew's guard.

The doctor came out just as Phin got off the phone with Sert and he asked for Faffy's family. Everyone gathered even the driver and the policeman.

"She's didn't have any internal injuries lucky enough. She only has bruises which will get better soon but she must've been flustered."

That was a relief to hear considering Faffy had suffered a great deal during the past few months.

Faffy cried for Gulf as soon as she woke up, a habit that was never going away anytime soon. Gulf comforted and asked for forgiveness. It wouldn't have happened if he had gone back home early.

It was during the second visit of the day that Mew's parents barged in the ER looking for Gulf who was sitting next to Faffy. Gulf was surprised seeing them there instead of being with their son. When had they returned from their business trip too?

"May we talk to you Gulf,"

Gulf's parents approached the two adults wondering what this was about.

Gulf was nervous they were going to accuse him of attempted murder or something but he was relieved when he heard Mew's parents say, "Mew is asking for you."

Gulf looked away when he felt a load of guilt settling in his heart.

"I'm sorry," he whispered not wanting to be convinced.

"He's hurting. He doesn't want to talk to any of us he only wants you. Please just come and see him for a few minutes and we'll bring you back."

"And tomorrow if he asks for me again will you take me and bring me back?"

"If you're ok with it.

Gulf's parents came to Gulf upon remembering the doctor's advice,

"Your friend needs you so you can go."

Gulf shook his head. "My sister needs me too."

"We'll be with her so don't worry."

"I'm not leaving her alone." Gulf refused.

"Please Gulf," the visitors pleaded.

Faffy who had been watching didn't want to get involved but she wondered why they were not using the easy solution to the problem.

"Bring him here." She quietly muttered and all the adults looked at her.

"He has the best medical team in that hospital but would you be ok if I moved you to the hospital. I promise you we'll try to get first class treatment." They bargained.

Gulf's parents looked at Gulf who looked at Faffy. "Is that ok with you?" He asked.

"Then will I get a big bed with stuffies?"

Of course she was going to ask that.

"Yes. We'll arrange for that to happen. We'll ask them to make your favorite food too. Everything is on us, just please come be with our son."

"P'Gulf P'Gulf P'Gulf I want to go." Faffy was already excited and there was no reason for the parents to say no.

Faffy was transferred to another hospital in an ambulance. As soon as she arrived at the new hospital, she was admitted in a VIP room next to Mew's. Her parents stayed with her and Gulf went to Mew's room.

"We'll leave him in your hands then," Mew's parents said and they left the hospital.

Gulf wondered what sort of parenting this was. He felt pity for Mew. He entered the room and saw Mew's head bandaged.

"I'm sorry," he said as soon as he sat down and Mew opened is eyes.

"Thank you for coming,"  Mew slowly muttered with tears running down to his ears.

"Why are you crying?" Gulf softly asked tearing up too and wiping Mew's tears.

"Please stay with me." He pleaded and Gulf went and laid on the spacious hospital bed next to Mew.

"Why are you so insecure? Why makes you this anxious?" Gulf couldn't help but ask in a whisper since they were laying next to each other.

"Ever since I met you, I feel like you're the only person who can stay with me and not abandon me. You're the only person who can be there for me like you do for your sister. I want to have someone care for me like that too. I want to know how it feels to be wanted and loved like that. So please stay with me."

Gulf couldn't help but cry softly at Mew's desperation. How can someone feel like this? How can this beautiful person be this lonely? He wiped the tears and asked,

"You didn't have friends before?"

Mew shook his head. "I was not allowed to have friends. My parents are not always here. They're probably on a plane already. They don't care about me. They never did."

Gulf let out a heartbreaking, "Why?"

"I'll tell you a secret that nobody else knows," Mew was clearly holding a sob from breaking through.

"You don't have to when it's hard," he said wiping Mew's cheek gently.

Mew looked at Gulf and took a deep breath.

"I'm adopted."
