Gulf's parents could not believe their ears. Gulf became quiet after the audio finished playing.

The parents decided to meet with Phin and Sert to tell them what had happened.

"Are these people out of their mind?" Phin asked shocked by the news.

"We are gathering all the evidence we can so that we have nothing missing. We need Manny's DNA. We wanted to talk to Mew but they won't let us meet him at his house."

"How are we going to get it?" Gulf's father asked.

"We need Gulf to come out so he can get the samples for us. That's the ultimate straw to all this. Even if Mew refuses to give a statement, we'll have evidence that the prosecutor won't refute."

"So how do we get Gulf out?" The mother asked.

"Get him a lawyer. We do have a recommendation and he is someone we trust." Sert said handing over a business card to the parents.

And that's what they did. They got Gulf a lawyer, Mr Perez; one recommended by Phin and Sert.

He got all the details he needed and was surprised by how rich people functioned when it came to evading the law. He got ready and left for the station were Gulf was held.

He got in and presented himself as Gulf's legal preventative. He asked for private consultation with Gulf which was granted.

They were given enough time to talk and Mr Perez let him know their plan of taking him out so he could get Manny's DNA.

Mr Perez went to the detectives responsible for arresting Gulf and introduced himself handing them a card.

"My client is denying the charges of physical abuse on Mew and he is accepting the charges of assaulting Manny Jongcheveevat. You can't arrest a person based on a story you're telling from pictures. So I'll request he be released and await for a trial." He looked at his watch, "Right now!"

Mr Perez had a big build and it didn't help he was wearing design clothes which the other detective recognized. His watch was one that looked fancy. He had an authoritative presence which demanded attention that's why the detective did not argue much and let Gulf go.

Gulf didn't get to go home when he was being escorted to Mew's house as soon as he got out by Phin and Sert who were waiting for him outside.

"All you need to do is get his hair or his blood in your nails. That will be it. If anything happens call us and we'll come in."

Gulf got out of the car that was parked some meters away from the gate. He punched in the password at the gate and got in. Mew had told him all the passwords. He saw no cars outside and proceeded to go inside the house.

Aunty met him as soon as he entered the house, "What are you doing here. Mew is not here."

Gulf had a mission to accomplish and not to spy on Mew that's why he didn't ask Mew's whereabouts.

"I'll get my things from his room and leave." He said.

"I'll be in the kitchen if you need me." Aunty replied.

"Thank you Aunty."

Gulf figured no one was home except for Aunty that's why he found it easy to  sneak his way in Manny's room. It looked so weird and bone chilling.

He ran to the bathroom and found a hair brush. He collected the hair on the brush and put it in a plastic then in his pocket. He was about to go out when he saw a tooth brush. He pocketed the toothbrush in a hurry and he left the bathroom not forgetting to close the door. He was reaching out for the bedroom door to exit the eerie looking room when the door opened and he stepped back quickly to avoid getting hit.

He was face to face with the devil.

"Well"

"well"

"well"

"what do we have here?"

Gulf knew then that he was done for. He reached for his phone in his pocket, stepping back slowly as Manny came in with hands in his pocket. Manny took out his hands and started popping his joint fingers getting them ready.

"I was already in a foul mood since I didn't have my punching bag with me but you came willingly...

...In my room." He smirked looking around, "The lion's den! The guts!" He snarled and grabbed Gulf's collar.

In that moment, Gulf thought since he was collecting DNA he should do it precisely. He scratched Manny's hand and it started bleeding and Manny lost it. He hit Gulf's jaw and he went flying. Before Gulf could recover, he went to sit on him and started delivering blows one after the other. And with each blow Manny confessed,

"I hate people like you."

Punch

"People who take the opportunity,"

Punch

"To mooch off other people's wealth."

Punch

"On top of that you are a queer."

Punch.

He started strangling Gulf's neck "Your disgusting boyfriend is hanging on pathetically for dear life and you better pray he dies. If he doesn't die, I'm going to finish him off myself and I want you experience the pain of being robbed of something you love. Maybe then you'll understand where I'm coming from."

He let go of Gulf's neck and Gulf started having a coughing fit, feeling his lungs relieved at finally getting air.

"Get out before I change my mind."

Gulf got out of the room not wanting to be killed by this psycho and as soon as he came out, Aunty was next to him hanging his arms over her shoulders to help him get out of the house.

The thought that this woman knew Mew was being bullied and she kept quiet all through the years ripped his heart apart.

Aunty escorted him out of the gate and as she handed him to the people waiting for him. She hadn't known he came with people and she was glad he did. As she was going back inside the house, Gulf grabbed her hand.

"Where is Mew?" He asked with a scratchy worried voice. He hadn't wanted to care but Manny's promise of ending Mew's life didn't sit well with him.

"Mew is in the hospital."

She sighed.

"He is on life support."
