You made it through the rest of the night... just barely.

You stood up bright and early at 7, remembering that's when most everyone else woke. Though you usually liked to sleep in, it was a workday. And those days you woke up at 10 were only on weekends or vacations.

You stretched, groaning slightly at the muscles in your body which ached and bruises that throbbed. But nonetheless, you forced yourself out of bed and down to the commons.

Almost immediately you were greeted by a smiling Bucky and Nat, then Sam, then Tony. You assumed everyone else was training or still sleeping. Nat got you some coffee and food, just enough to get nutrients in, but not too much to a point where it would be unhealthy for your frail body.

You talked only a bit as the four of them tried to alleviate the air a bit with light and meaningless conversation. You got a few small laughs in, a victory, you thought, before he walked in.

All five of you facing his way, Steve walked in with a light smile, tight workout shirt, and joggers. He had obviously been out for a run.

He smiled at the group before noticing you, his face dropping slightly, "Should I, um, go?" Before anyone could say anything you spoke up.

"No, you're fine." You smiled at him. His face turned to shock and then immediately to a sweet smile. But you could see he was holding back more. I mean, he was your husband. And he hadn't touched you or really interacted with you in weeks. He poured himself a cup of water choosing to lean on one of the counters and distance himself a bit from you.

While he was a complete stranger to you, you also felt as though he was treating you like a thin token made of glass. Like whatever he did, it would be to not get near you as to not hurt you. And a part of you really did hate it.

He was quite the gentleman, you could just tell. You weren't sure whether it was his manners that shocked you so much for men nowadays or the way he spoke with such elegance. Either way, you were beginning to understand why you married him without even knowing who he was. You were just confused as to what he would have seen so appealing about a moderate, nothing special girl like you.

You nervously rubbed the back of your neck, stirring some of your coffee that didn't even have creamer or sugar, just black how you liked it. It was only you, Bucky, and Steve left in the comments scattered around the large black marble kitchen. "So," Bucky spoke up, clearly noticing the awkward tension that seemed to radiate from every angle. "Steve and Y/N." He said, both of you looking up at him. Bucky then turned to you, "C'mon, go ahead." You couldn't help but roll your eyes at him, to which Steve smiled.

"I just-" You began partially stuttering while looking at Steve, "I wanna get to know you. Again." You stated and he lightly nodded with an even bigger smile growing on his face. Damn it, you had to admit he was hot.

"Sure thing." He smiled, walking over to sit next to me at the kitchen island.

The same scent of familiarity from the bed was him, as you soon identified. Which made sense, I mean husbands and wives did sleep together. You assumed you didn't do it last night for your sake. Granted, sleeping with a complete stranger did creep you out.

"Well, this is my cue to go." Bucky tightly smiled walking out with speed, you couldn't help but smile a bit and Steve did the same.

"So," Steve began.

"So." You said too and you both lightly laughed.

"What do you want to know?" He asked. You looked up at him, his eyes were gorgeous you couldn't help but to stare for a few moments. In general, he was gorgeous, but he was just... everything you had ever wanted in a man? "Doll, you there?" He asked with a soft smile.
