Noah's POV

I was kind of over thinking what I should wear to this date. Usually I wouldn't care so much, but for some reason I just wanted this all to go smoothly. Thankfully my best friend Tony came in clutch and set everything up for the date. I would have done it, but my work schedule was running behind. I put on a thin white button up, but I only buttoned it from the bottom to the middle button and left my chest kind of showing. The shirt was flowy, so not tight, but I loosely tucked it into some grey slacks that didn't go all the way down to my ankle. I put on my white air forces, a gold chain and a gold watch. I sprayed some cologne and tussled with my hair a bit. My hair kind of does the same thing everyday because of the middle part. I Think I did good. I headed downstairs as it was about time for me to leave.

"Yo Grant. Has mom come home yet?" I asked checking the time on my watch.

"Nah."

I stood in the driveway impatiently waiting for my mom. She was bringing the flowers from her plant nursery that she owns now. After we moved to Florida my mom decided to start her own business. She figured she loved plants and gardening, so why not start something new. Of course my brother and I supported her. We were just glad to see her do something after my dad passed away. I also didn't have to take care of Grant anymore because she started to become more present. I don't blame her though. I can't imagine what she must have felt.

I stood there on my phone waiting until I heard her pull in. I ran up to her and opened the door.

"Here. I put some baby's breath in their cause I know you said they were her favorite. It really goes nice with the Hydrangeas." She said rambling.

"Thanks ma! I gotta go I don't wanna be late." I said kissing her cheek and then walking to my truck.

"Okay hun. Have fun!" She yelled.

I got into my car and input her address into my gps. She was only 15 minutes away. Nice and close. I like that. I pulled up to her dark grey house that had a light blue trim. I was a little nervous, I hope she likes the flowers I brought for her. I took a deep breath and got out of my truck walked up to her door that was half white half window and knocked.

PJ opened the door and smiled at me. She was breath taking beautiful. The way the lacy blue dress hung off her shoulders and accentuated every curve on her. I handed her the flowers.

"Baby's breath. My favorite! How did you know?" She smiled.

"I have my ways." Really I called Tony and asked him to ask the friend of hers that he thought was cute. I knew he wanted to hit her up, I was just giving him an excuse.

"Hello young man." PJs mom caught my attention.

"Mom this is Noah." She said sweetly.

"Hello ma'am." I smiled and shook her hand.

"oh, don't call me ma'am makes me sound old. Call me Alex."

"Okay then Alex." I smiled.

"Alright we should get going. Bye mom." She said as she grabbed my hand and started walking towards my truck. Her hands were so small and soft in my hands.

I opened the door for her. I could see it was a little too high for her to get in, so I grabbed her waist and hand and helped her in the truck. I did a little jog around to the driver side and hopped in. I put a little Tame Impala low in the background.

"Where are we going?" She asked.

"It's a surprise." I smirked. She gave me a little smile back and I averted my gaze to the road. I could see her out of the corner of my eye taking peeks at me every so often. The air felt thick. I'm not one for small talk, but she seems tense. Maybe that will make her less nervous. As soon as I was about to ask her something she started to speak.
