"Morning sunshine." Camila giggled softly as Charlotte stirred from her sleep. The older brunette was reading I bed, her left arm tucked comfortably around Charlotte's waist, pulling Charlotte quite close to her so her left hand could hold the left side of the book, whilst her right hand held the other side. She was sat up slightly and was wearing her large glasses with her hair up in a bun.
"Not today..." Charlotte mumbled, snuggling impossibly closer to Camila, making her chuckle lightly at the young dark haired that was nearly laying on top of her now. Camila couldn't complain though, it was nice being able to spend some alone time with her, even if it just was with her sleeping on her. She'd been trying to spend as much time with everyone as best as she could, but Camila had been feeling a little left out of the loop, but the fact Charlotte came to her in the night spoke volumes, whether she wanted to be with Lauren or not.
"How did you sleep baby girl?"
"Terribly. Well, until I joined you, after that I slept like a puppy." Charlotte's voice was muffled a little, but Camila could still hear how much hoarse her voice was. She had a naturally hoarse voice from where she barely talked before, it was cute, adorable in fact, and in the morning it was even more cute, her voice sounded a lot like the girls after a show, nearly gone.
"Well that's good." Camila smiled, letting go of the book in her left hand to stroke Charlotte's hair, "glad I could be of service."
Charlotte hummer in response, she felt to comfortable and to sleepy to try and make a coherent sentence. Her eye lids got heavy, and the feeling of Camila running her fingers through her dark locks made her relax and fall back into a deep sleep once more.
Camila put down her book and continued to play with Charlotte's hair as the girl slept. She was in no position to wake her up, since she wanted an excuse to lay in bed all day, and Charlotte fit the bill.
There was a light knock on her door, pulling Camila out of her dozy state as she mumbled a pathetic "come in".
Lauren walked into her room seconds later, the ghost of the smile that was once on her lips had completely vanished when she saw Charlotte sleeping on her bandmate. When Lauren went looking for her in her room she assumed she was in the treehouse, so she came into Camila's room to ask if she would watch Charlotte while the others went out. She was shocked and a little hurt that Charlotte was in here with her.
Camila knew it was jealousy. It was in Lauren's personality, she was a jealous person, which made Camila wonder if she had green eyes for that reason as well as genes.
"What's up Laur?" Camila asked, watching Lauren closely as the older brunette stared at the scene before her. "I was wondering if you'd watch Charlotte? My family and the others, as well as myself are going to Waffle House. We'll bring you food back. It's just that I know Charlotte doesn't want to talk to me, or anyone, and I know that you've wanted some alone time with her, and I just thought-" "Yeah, I understand. I'll watch her." Camila nodded, her gaze never falling.
"She doesn't get along with Taylor." Lauren spoke out of the blue, shocking Camila slightly, but it wasn't the change in subject, it was more that Lauren said Charlotte didn't get alone with Taylor, when it was the other way around. "She told me last night in tears, that Charlotte kept giving her glares when she came near me, and kept muttering things when she walked past her." Lauren continued, Camila nodded. "Do you believe her?" Camila asked. "Yeah."
She was baffled. Charlotte was the sweetest girl, it was untrue but also so not in Charlotte's nature to do anything like that. She knew Taylor was tricky and hated sharing Lauren, but this was unnecessary. "So what are you going to do?" Camila asked. "When we get back, I want to talk to Charlotte, and then I want her to apologise to Taylor. It makes sense, Charlotte's been off ever since they arrived." Lauren shrugged. "Maybe because she was petrified of your family hating her? She doesn't like strangers Lauren, of course she was off." Camila snapped, "and what if Taylor's lying? Then what?" "Taylor isn't lying!" Lauren snapped this time, "Taylor doesn't lie!" Lauren huffed. "Okay, so what if it's true?" Camila asked, slightly afraid of the answer. "Well either her and Taylor sort it out, or I have to reevaluate things." Lauren mumbled, and Camila instantly knew what she meant. "You'd send her back to that place?" Camila asked, Lauren shook her head, "I'm not saying that, but if things get worse than...Yeah, my family is my top priority." and with that Lauren left Camila's room before her tears left her eyes. The thought of having to send Charlotte back hurt her beyond words. She shut the bedroom door with force behind her before going downstairs, managing to pull herself together as she reached the bottom of them.
