Trigger warning!

Charlotte looked at her reflection in the mirror and sighed out of sadness. It had been seventeen days since she'd left L.A, and she was surprised how everything had took a turn for the worse.

She saw it coming of course, but she didn't know she'd be so powerless and things would escalate this badly. She'd cut, she'd purged, she drank and she hadn't talked since being back after an hour.

Darkness seemed to loom over her, her mind was foggy and only felt a little clearer when she harmed herself. Taking in her reflection was hard, her hips and tops of her thighs now had self inflicted scars on them, as well as the two on her left wrist and three on her right, all of which were very deep. She had lost a lot of weight from not eating and purging, and her eyes were no longer a brilliant green, but a awful grey and had rather large, dark circles around them from her lack of sleep.

Nightmares happened every night, and every time she woke up from one Miss Greene was with her, and had the same look if deep concern in her eyes. But the awful flashbacks didn't just visit her at night, if she wasn't occupied by anything she'd get them, the only time she was vocal was when she yelled out, the flashbacks were all to real, she couldn't escape her own mind anymore, and everyone was panicking for her safety, since her recent behaviour was in the same patterns as the children that they had lost not long ago.

No longer being able to look at herself, she got dressed into a large black sweater and black leggings. she put her hair up into a bun before leaving the bathroom.

She was immediately met with Elise's gaze, her friend smiled at her but she didn't return it, and simply walked downstairs. She pulled on her converse before heading out into the back yard and climbing the tree. was as high as she could get with her energy levels. The no sleep and no eating pattern that had formed didn't make climbing easy, and it's not like she didn't want to eat, she just couldn't stomach it, she just vomited it up after, and of course, the whole sleeping thing was out of her control.

She stayed up in the tree for a little while until she got cold and her energy levels were high enough for her to climb back down, and to see that Mrs Smithers was stood waiting.

"Charlotte." she greeted with a smile, Charlotte nodded in return, somehow not managing to make her face muscles to lift upwards to make a smile. "Want to join me for a walk?" The elderly woman asked, she and Charlotte always managed to communicate, even when she was mute, Charlotte blinked twice, meaning yes, and the two set off around the garden.

They walked in silence for a little while, it wasn't uncomfortable but it wasn't comfortable either. Charlotte found it odd but bearable to stay in, and this silence wasn't torturous to her with the presence of another person.

She began thinking, something that was rather dangerous these days, but she allowed her thoughts to travel to L.A. She'd watched interviews of Fifth Harmony and they all seemed dead. Their eyes didn't sparkle and everyone noticed, including fans. She was worried, beyond worried about her former guardians. She was aware that Lauren had called a few days after her leaving, Miss Greene explained that she was mute, and that's all she heard before the door was shut. She was pulled out of her thoughts when Mrs Smithers sat on the bench in the rather large yard.

"I'm going to ask you somethings Charlotte, and I need you to be honest with me, okay?" Charlotte nodded, her anxiety began to build in her chest as she waited for Mrs Smithers first question.

"Are you happy?" The elderly woman asked bluntly, Charlotte blinked once, meaning no. Mrs Smithers didn't question that further, and carried on with the questions. "Do you miss the girls?" She blinked twice.
