"How's your leg sweetie?" Ally asked as Charlotte hobbled into the kitchen with Dinah behind, the taller girl still had to carry her up and down the stairs. "Better, it aches still though, and the stairs are impossible to take." Charlotte hissed slightly as she slid onto one of the stools around the island, watching Ally intently as the oldest girl made breakfast once again. "What are you doing today?" Charlotte asked as she traced the patterns on the marble surface. "Well, we have a radio interview." Ally replied as she placed a few pancakes on a plate and handed the plate over to Charlotte, who thanked her before tucking in. "What time?" Charlotte asked after finishing her large mouthful. "We have to leave in an hour." Ally said sadly, sitting on the stool opposite Charlotte. "How long are you going to be?" Charlotte asked, the thought of being alone again didn't bother her as much as it probably bothered the girls. "A long while...Are you staying here?" Ally asked, Charlotte nodded, as she finished another bite. "Yeah, I might go out whilst you're gone. Is that okay?" She asked, Ally looked torn. "I'm not sure, you'll have to ask Lauren. But I think it will be a no." "What will be a no?" Lauren's husky morning voice sounded from the door way. "If I were to audition for the X-factor, I'd get a no." Charlotte joked, earning a smile off of Lauren before getting the usual kiss on the head as Lauren sat next to her. "Seriously though, what's a no?" Lauren asked, eyeing Ally and Charlotte suspiciously.
"Charlotte was wondering whilst we were out today if she could go out too." Ally answered as Charlotte finished one of her pancakes. She looked back at Lauren to see a serious expression on her face, she was torn as well. "No, you can't." Lauren replied softly, but she was obviously worried that that would upset the younger girl, as she began rambling, "it's not like I don't trust you, it's just it's scary enough leaving you here on your own and your leg isn't healed and if-" "Lauren it's fine. Iwould of been surprised if you'd said yes." Charlotte shrugged, understanding her adopters reasoning. "Really?" Lauren asked as she fidgeted a little on her stool. "Yeah, it's only the second time you leaving me on my own, I get it." Charlotte smiled. Lauren looked a little bewildered, but nodded anyway.
The others soon appeared in the kitchen, all of whom looked like they had just gotten out of bed. "Aren't you guys meant to be leaving soon?" Charlotte asked, finishing her last pancake, "why aren't you dressed yet?" "Our make-up artists are coming over in a few minutes to get us ready." Normani replied, "there's no point in getting dressed just yet, they'll tell us what to wear." Charlotte nodded. She didn't understand the celebrity life style yet, but if her place in the house was permanent, she was sure she'd know most of it by the end of the year. Almost as if on cue, the front door sounded, Camila skipped off the answer it and soon after she walked back on the kitchen with four other women. "Charlotte, this is Sarah, Alexis, Clarice and Chelsea." Camila introduced the four women. Charlotte waved slightly, her shyness seeping through as she carefully climbed off the stool. Hissing at her leg. "Still sore huh?" Sarah asked, Charlotte looked at her, tilting her face slightly before asking "how did you know?" "Your Mom isn't very good at being quiet about you." Sarah chuckled. Lauren went red slightly, it was strange for both of them being refereed to as Mom and Daughter. "Oh...Well, I'm going to go upstairs, I'll leave you guys to get ready." Charlotte hummed before limping slightly out of the kitchen, "wait for me!" Dinah smiled, but Charlotte turned her head. "No it's fine, I've got this." She lied, not wanting to seem like a whiny brat in front of the four new women. Dinah hesitantly sat back down and joined in the conversation as Charlotte battled through the pain she felt as she climbed up the stairs.
By the time she got to her room her eyes were swimming with tears of pain. She knew she probably shouldn't of pushed herself so much but she couldn't help it, she wanted to be independent again very quickly, knowing that Lauren talks about her to others. As far as she was aware she was a secret, and the thought of Lauren telling people about her behind her back worried her in a strange way. Things would change and hate would flare up on social medias. It was scary, the thought of being known and no longer being invisible to the world.
