Lauren rolled her eyes again as her parents sat down opposite her. "Lauren Michelle Jauregui, what's wrong with Charlotte?" Mike asked sternly. Lauren groaned.
"For the last time she's fine. She's allowed to have off days. Stop worrying over her." Lauren stated. Clara rubbed her temples. "Lauren I understand that people have their off days. But Charlotte seems more insecure than she did before Australia. She barely eats during the day! Lauren what happened in Australia or do I need to get one of the girls to tell me us?" Clara challenged.
Lauren sighed and rubbed her temples softly. She was finding it harder to believe that Charlotte was being thought of first when conversations occurred. If they really did care about her they wouldn't take her away from Lauren seeming as she nearly died the first time.
"She relapsed in Australia." Lauren breathed out. Clara gasped and Mike was about to talk when Lauren cut in. "She went to a bathroom and some 'fans' we're talking about her, unaware that she was in one of the stalls. It triggered her and she relapsed." Lauren added.
"And where were you?" Clara asked venomously. "Meeting fans. She told me I could and Big Rob was watching over her. You can't blame me for this." Lauren snapped.
"Lauren that little girl needs a home! Not a bus!" Mike yelled. "Dad..." Lauren but in, "I'm not letting you take her away from me."
"If one more thing happens, anything happens that threatens her. She's coming home with us and you will let us." Mike stated. Before he and Clara left the room without another word. Leaving Lauren to process and not punch a wall.
She wasn't letting them take Charlotte, and nothing was going to happen.
Or so she wanted.
Charlotte was once again wondering around. This time Jacob and Mahogany were with her though, and they were great entertainment.
They were currently talking to fans and being dorks, well, Mahogany and Jacob were, Charlotte was just standing on the sidelines, saying hi to a few fans that said hi to her.
Knowing that Jacob and Mahogany were going to be a while, Charlotte said she was going to continue looking around. The two nodded in acknowledgement and Charlotte continued walking around, thinking nothing of her safety.
She wasn't sure where she was. She was semi sure she was in Detroit, but she rarely paid attention to where they were, she was to caught up in talking to Ivy, School work or sleeping to pay attention. And it wasn't like she needed to know either, she rarely got to see outside of the venue, hotel or bus. So this was all knew to her.
She wondered through the streets for a little while longer before stumbling across a bakery. It was adorable and was on the corner. It looked relatively quiet, so she went inside and got herself a cookie, before sitting at a small table and taking out her phone in order to message Ivy, who was on her lunch break.
From Ivy: I don't like the thought of you walking around on your own😕
To Ivy: stop worrying, I can still hear fans screaming from where I am. I'll be fine😘
From Ivy: Still😔. Are you okay though?
To Ivy: I'm fine, really👍 stop worrying, you'll get wrinkles.👵
From Ivy: That won't stop me worrying. I'm constantly worried about you. 🙊
To Ivy: why are you constantly worried babe😨
From Ivy: because, I care about you and I can't be there to protect you💪❤️
To Ivy: You're cute💕 I worry about you too😚
Charlotte sighed and ate the remainder of her cookie. She knew already that the moment she was back in L.a she was going to spend every possible moment with Ivy, and hopefully Chase along the others. They were amusing and she still has a lot to figure out about Ivy. The older girl was still as much of a mystery as she was to Charlotte when they first met.
Charlotte went on Tumblr. She was glad the Harmonizers hadn't found her Tumblr yet. IT was nice to post things without anyone but her followers seeing it. She had a few hundred followers who had no idea who she was since she went by her middle name Mae.
As she was scrolling through her dash, someone sat down opposite her and cleared their throat. She looked up and froze.
Tom.
He gave her a malicious grin, showing off his crooked teeth anyone else would find him charming, but all Charlotte could remember was him touching her and saying if she breathed a word to anyone he'd do a lot worse. His grey eyes bore into hers as he leant on the table. "Miss me?"
Charlotte looked down. "Why are you here?" She asked shakily. "Do you want to know what's happened to me ever since you told the cops? I was arrested. I was a Juvenile until about three months ago, when I turned 18, and I met someone, someone who I know you know rather well." Tom snarled.
"Oh yeah? Who's that?"
"Your Uncle."
Charlotte froze. "What do you want?"
"Oh you'll find out soon enough. But anyway, you should go back to your precious little family." He smiled.
Charlotte got up, grabbing her phone. As she walked past, Tom grabbed her wrist. "I'll see you soon Charlotte." He grinned, tightening his grip before letting go. Charlotte had never moved so quickly out of a place before. She ran back to the venue, not stopping to see Jacob and Mahogany, before running into a venue and rushing into an empty room, before slamming the door and falling back against it, allowing a twisted scream falling from her mouth as she remembered everything he and her uncle did to her when she was younger. All the touches, the remarks, the way she felt, how no one believed her.
She brought her hands to her mouth in attempt to contain a sob that escaped as she brought her knees to her chest.
She wiped away her tears as he phone lit up, she unlocked it, hoping it was a text from Ivy, but it wasn't. She read the text than dropped her phone and allowed herself to break down fully, allowing herself to scream and cry.
From Unknown:
I've missed you Charlotte, and I know your Uncle has too. I can't wait to see you again, and this time you won't get away.
